The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, January 2, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) refused to back down on his blackmail threat. Bill was determined to ensure Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) freedom and maintained that no one was pressing charges against her – not unless Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wanted her mother going to prison, too.
Steffy feared for Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) future and tried to make Bill see that Sheila was dangerous.
However, Bill and Sheila were adamant that they were two sides of the same coin – that they accepted each other and all their flaws.
Bill told Steffy and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) that they couldn’t breathe a word about his involvement with Sheila to anyone.
As Bill left with Sheila, Steffy called out and begged him not to do this.
Once Finn was alone with Steffy, they reflected on the insanity of all this.
Finn wanted to know why Taylor shot Bill, so Steffy confessed that Bill came to her at the Forrester guesthouse after Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) kissed another woman.
Although Steffy admitted it was a night she regretted and one that wouldn’t have happened if she was in a better headspace, she assured Finn that it was consensual.
As for Taylor, she was a different person back then and went after Bill because she believed he took advantage of Steffy.
Finn was furious with Bill for playing on Steffy’s emotions, but she thought they should focus on the current blackmail threat.
Steffy wanted Sheila behind bars as much as Finn did, but she couldn’t bear to send Taylor to prison along with her.
“I can’t do that to my mother, Finn,” Steffy insisted.
At Bill’s place, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) worried Bill could be kidnapped or even dead, but Liam didn’t want to jump to conclusions without more information.
After getting updates from the guard at the gate, Liam revealed that the security system was down due to the storm – and so was the backup.
Although Bill’s car was gone, no one could be sure if Sheila was with him due to his tinted windows.
Liam eventually got Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) on the phone, so Baker feared Sheila might force Bill to help her leave the country on his jet.
After warning Liam and Wyatt to get out of there, Baker assured them that he’d handle this.
According to Deputy Chief Bradley Baker, Bill would be found tonight!
Later on Monday’s B&B episode, Bill offered Sheila a drink upon returning home.
Sheila felt this place had been a sanctuary – a port in a storm.
Bill and Sheila talked about how they truly understood each other before moving forward with the next phase of their plan.
Once Bill called 911 and insisted they had to come apprehend Sheila, they went over the story they would give the cops.
Bill told Sheila that she’d be in jail for a bit, but he would do everything in his power to get her out so they could be together.
Sheila told Bill that she loved him so much and reminded him of the power that his sword necklace represented.
After Sheila jabbed her finger with the tip of it, she put some blood on her own lips and kissed Bill passionately.
Baker eventually came bursting in with backup, so Bill pretended he wanted Sheila arrested.
As Sheila was hauled off to jail, she locked eyes with Bill in an intense moment.
