The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 31, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) told Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that she couldn’t stay at the mansion forever.
This visit was never supposed to be permanent – and Steffy missed her husband. The kids also missed John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and being at home, so Steffy announced her plan to move back to the cliff house.
Although Ridge and Eric tried to object, Steffy refused to lose her family because of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). After Steffy left, Eric and Ridge discussed Steffy’s dangerous decision.
There was also some talk about Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) since she would’ve eaten Sheila up and spit her out! Once Ridge acknowledged that Sheila was still out there, Eric agreed that she was a problem for everyone.
At Spencer Publications, Finn interrupted Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) workday to warn Liam to stay away from his wife. Liam argued that Finn shouldn’t bark orders since Steffy left because Finn refused to cut ties with Sheila.
Finn insisted Sheila would have no role in his life, but Liam felt that Finn had to prove he was no longer vulnerable to his birth mother.
However, Finn thought Liam was using this Sheila situation to drive a wedge and make a play for Steffy. Liam countered that Finn was doing a perfectly fine job of sabotaging his marriage on his own.
Finn made it clear that he wouldn’t jerk Steffy around like Liam did multiple times in the past. Liam kept bringing the conversation back to Sheila since he felt Finn needed to get her out of LA and out of all their lives.
Liam didn’t care if Finn had to put a tracker on Sheila or whatever else, but he kept insisting that she was Finn’s responsibility.
After Finn received a text, he told Liam that his rocky marriage didn’t give him a right to make a pass at Steffy.
At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, he whined as Sheila gave him a painful massage. Deacon remained concerned about the risks of getting caught with Sheila, but she vowed not to ruin things for him.
Sheila also defended Finn’s view of her since he thanked her repeatedly for saving Kelly Spencer’s (Sophia Paras McKinlay) life and called her “Mom.”
Although Steffy and others might try to get inside Finn’s head, Sheila believed in the unconditional love between a mother and her son. Deacon just didn’t want Sheila to end up disappointed, but she refused to give up on a future with Finn in it.
After Sheila said she was going to have a true relationship with Finn, she hinted that she was going to start today.
At the cliff house on Thursday’s B&B episode, Finn scrambled to clean up before Steffy arrived following her text. It left Finn hopeful that Steffy wanted to move back in since they’d been apart for way too long.
Finn got emotional as he talked about needing his puzzle piece and begged Steffy to tell him that she was ready to come home. Steffy said she missed her puzzle piece too and admitted she didn’t want to be away from Finn any longer.
Finn was elated as Steffy confirmed she wanted to get the kids and come home to him, so they shared a passionate kiss following the happy news.
