However, RJ returned home out of the blue and intends to stick around for a while.
Although RJ acts like he’s simply been missing his family, there may be another reason for RJ’s abrupt homecoming.

Someone like RJ has probably been fighting the ladies off left and right, so we have to wonder about his love life.
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) plans to try bonding with RJ soon, so it’d be interesting if he pried details out of him that no one else has been able to get so far.
Perhaps RJ could confess that coming home was more about running from someone following a failed relationship.
It wouldn’t be surprising if RJ’s trying to fill the void in his heart with his family’s love instead.
Maybe RJ’s battling some secret heartbreak that he finds too painful to talk about.
Thomas could potentially score a confession from RJ since he’ll try to connect with his brother during the week of May 8-12.
It’d be smart for B&B to build Thomas and RJ’s bond up a bit so they can tear it down again.
A designer rivalry seems to be looming, so RJ and Thomas might make some progress in their relationship before a brother war launches.
As for RJ’s possibly broken heart, his lost love might eventually follow him to Los Angeles.
On the other hand, some new woman could make RJ forget all about any failed past relationships.
Regardless, the show plans to build a 20-something group that’ll include a new actress for RJ to be paired with.
If RJ has secretly been unlucky in love offscreen, he’ll have a chance to turn things around.
