The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) relief over having Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) back at the cabin may be short-lived. Liam talked about how wonderful it was and acted like the important thing was giving Douglas a loving home away from Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Of course, Thomas has already been trying to worm his way back into Forrester Creations.
There’s no reason to think Thomas will stop there, especially since he admitted losing Douglas was the worst part of the CPS call backlash.
Thomas was Douglas’ primary caregiver for quite a while when they were both living at the Forrester mansion.
That was a blissful time for both of them – at least until Thomas pressured Douglas to keep his Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) setup a secret.
Since Eric Forrester (John McCook) threw Thomas out, he’s been living at Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) place – obviously separated from Douglas.
However, there are reasons to think Douglas may not be entirely happy at the cabin. Douglas acted rather weird about going home with Liam in the January 26 episode and seemed eager to stay at the cliff house longer.
In fact, Douglas was already trying to set up another cliff house visit before he was even out the door, so this could lead to bad news from Liam’s perspective.
It’s clear that Douglas has formed a nice bond with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) – maybe even a better one than he has with his own stepdad.
It almost seems like Douglas would rather hang out with Uncle Finn than Liam at this point. In Douglas’ mind, maybe he feels like he’s betraying Thomas in some way by getting too close to Liam.
Although Douglas was upset about Thomas plotting against Brooke and Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) marriage, that doesn’t mean he hates his father.
Douglas may secretly miss Thomas terribly and feel like he can’t really open up about it.
Of course, Douglas also adores Aunt Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood) as well as Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) and Hayes Finnegan (Vienna and Iliana Norris).
Since Douglas has such a blast at the cliff house, he may start asking to spend more and more time there.
Now that Thomas is trying to carve a spot out at Forrester Creations again, he’s also trying to make amends with Steffy.
What if Thomas eventually moves out of Paris’ place and into Steffy’s guest house?
With Douglas at the cliff house constantly, this could give Thomas an opportunity to basically have custody without really having custody.
Thomas could at least have plenty of visitation and patch things up with Douglas as they reconnect.
Since Liam doesn’t think Thomas is the dad that Douglas deserves, this could kick off another round of B&B conflict.
Thomas may use Douglas’ time at the cliff house to his advantage, so that could lead to complaints from Liam and put Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) in another tight spot.
