The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 17, reveals that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) urged Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) not to let Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) hold him hostage, but Sheila insisted Bill was with her of his own freewill.
Katie refused to accept Bill’s relationship with Sheila, but Sheila fired back that Katie didn’t have a choice.
Nevertheless, Katie insisted this wasn’t the man she fell in love with or the good father she knew.
Although Katie warned Bill to snap out of it and fix this, Bill stood there in silence.
After Katie reminded Bill of the threat Sheila posed and all the crimes she committed, she pushed him to protect his family.
Bill said he’d never let anything happen to his kids, but Katie warned that Bill needed protection too since Sheila was toxic.
The Bill that Katie remembered was brave, smart, strong and knew how to love.
Katie maintained that Sheila wasn’t capable of giving Bill love in return and urged him not to sink down in the sewer with her.
Sheila finally decided she’d had enough and warned that Katie was wasting her time. There was nothing Katie could say to change Bill’s mind.
Furthermore, Katie had no right telling Bill who he could or couldn’t be with according to Sheila.
Katie insisted Sheila would go back to prison and finally pay, but Sheila ranted about Katie leaving Bill alone and rejecting him after all his begging.
Now it was Sheila’s time to be with Bill and build a future with him.
Katie reminded Bill of the family memories they made in that house and pushed him not to let Sheila poison them.
However, Sheila argued that Katie was ancient history and that she’d already blown her shot with Bill.
After Sheila hinted about how they made a great team, she pointed out that she accepted Bill for who he was and didn’t try to change him.
Katie was Bill’s past and Sheila was his future, so Sheila said Katie should do them both a favor and leave.
Bill seemed tormented as Katie pushed him to tell Sheila to get out instead.
Since Will Spencer (last played by Finnegan George) idolized Bill and wanted to be exactly like his father, Katie wondered what Bill would tell him – especially since Will knew what Sheila had done.
Sheila argued that Will would just have to get to know the real her, but Katie warned that Sheila was delusional if she thought she’d get anywhere near her child.
Katie said she’d die first and didn’t think Bill would allow Sheila near Will either.
Sheila eventually turned to Bill and insisted if he told her to leave, she would leave.
After a long pause, Bill said he thought Katie should leave instead, so Katie wondered what had happened to him.
Sheila said Bill had finally found love for the first time in his life, but Bill cried as Katie walked out the door.
Once they were alone, Sheila thanked Bill and wiped a tear from his eye.
Although Sheila knew that wasn’t easy, she assured Bill that she felt wanted, accepted and truly loved.
Bill smiled at Sheila a bit, but he continued to cry over her shoulder as they hugged.
At the cliff house on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) showed up for answers after getting updates on Sheila’s freedom.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) explained that Bill blackmailed them using Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) shooting, so they weren’t able to testify.
Liam and Hope also learned that Bill had a judge in his pocket, so he was able to make the other charges go away.
Once Hope and Liam found out that Bill was in romantically involved with Sheila, they were stunned.
Liam felt that Bill had “lost his damn mind” and wanted to talk to his father.
Steffy pointed out that Katie was with Bill now and was hopeful that she’d come through for all of them.
