The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 22, indicate that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will try to downplay Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) concerns during their discussion at Forrester Creations.
Ridge subtly hinted that he knows about Thomas sleeping with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), so he’ll naturally be worried about Thomas’ fixation and the road he’s headed down.
However, Thomas will do his best to reassure Ridge before turning his attention to RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman).
RJ will waste no time in voicing his disapproval when it comes to Thomas and Hope potentially becoming a couple. Instead, RJ will push Thomas to step aside and let Hope repair the damage to her marriage.
While RJ insists Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) belong together, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will try to get to the bottom of Liam’s current feelings.
Now that Liam’s made progress with Hope regarding her view of Thomas, Steffy will wonder if there’s a way forward for them after all. Liam won’t be certain since everything’s so complicated, but Steffy may push him to fix his family if it’s still possible.
It’s just a matter of whether Liam can forgive Hope for her blunder with Thomas – and that part won’t be easy for her betrayed husband.
Next, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) will have high hopes when it comes to her daughter finding herself again and resuming her romance with Liam.
Although Brooke will acknowledge that it’s going to take a lot of hard work, she’ll definitely see the potential for Hope and Liam to have a happy ending.
Later, Liam will reconvene with Hope as they discuss the fate of their marriage. B&B spoilers say Hope and Liam will reach an important decision together, so that may involve further delaying the divorce.
Liam might keep an open mind when it comes to getting his relationship with Hope back on track, but it’s not something that’ll happen overnight.
Of course, Hope will need to end things with Thomas and fully devote herself to her marriage again, so she’ll plan to do that soon enough.
Alas, Hope and Liam will set themselves up for failure by deceiving each other. Liam hasn’t told Hope about his lip locks with Steffy – nor has he told Hope about professing his love to Steffy and pleading for a do-over.
Likewise, Hope hasn’t come clean to Liam about sleeping with Thomas, so there are multiple secrets that could still cause major problems.
Since Thomas doesn’t know about Hope’s feelings toward him changing, he’ll expect some positive updates soon. Thomas will be ready for good news about his own future with Hope, but she’ll deliver a crushing blow later this week.
