The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Eric Forrester (John McCook) recently gave Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) his sweet stamp of approval. Although Thomas and Hope are a pretty controversial couple due to their messy history, Eric had only good things to say to the duo.
In B&B’s December 7 episode, Eric pointed out that he didn’t view Hope and Thomas to be as scandalous as other people did. All that really matters to Eric is the fact that Thomas and Hope seem to make each other happy.
That’s why Eric essentially offered his blessing to Hope and Thomas, but that doesn’t mean the rest of their loved ones will follow suit. It’ll be interesting to see if Thomas and Hope can gather any other support as their relationship deepens.
Eric’s heartfelt words could easily inspire Hope and Thomas to keep moving in this romantic direction. It could be a sign that Thomas will propose sooner rather than later, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Of course, Hope has to finalize her divorce from Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) before she can marry Thomas, but there’s plenty of time for that. Until then, Thomas can pop the question anytime he wants.
If there’s a moment down the line when it feels right, Thomas may get down on one knee and ask Hope to marry him. Eric’s situation could be a great reminder of how fragile life is and how you have to grab onto happiness with both hands.
It could lead to Hope and Thomas’ engagement, but what happens if they actually make it to the altar? Will anyone show up for Thomas and Hope’s nuptials?
Hope and Thomas could face a wedding boycott if all the naysayers refuse to be as supportive as Eric’s been. There might be a few guests who are willing to attend, but Thomas and Hope could still have some noteworthy absences – like their mothers!
It’s possible that both Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) will decide to skip the “Thope” marriage ceremony if one indeed transpires.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) might consider doing the same, which would certainly break Thomas’ heart. Nevertheless, it could fit with this idea of building an “us versus the world” kind of couple, which is a soap staple.
