The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Monday, May 22, teases that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will revisit his conversation with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), who’ll be curious how things went with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Wyatt knows how worried Liam’s been about Thomas and the potential for his usual tricks.
Liam wanted to look in Thomas’ eyes and hopefully know for sure that he didn’t pull anything while he was out of town with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
The good news is Liam doesn’t believe anything inappropriate happened in San Francisco.
The bad news is Liam still doesn’t trust Thomas and probably never will.
Wyatt has been trying to tell Liam how important it is to focus on other things in his marriage.
If it becomes the Thomas show all the time, that doesn’t leave much room for romance.
Liam will get some words of wisdom about making an effort with Hope, particularly since he’s grateful she’s been doing the same.
B&B spoilers say Liam will figure out a romantic gift of some sort and hope it makes Hope feel special, but she’s got far bigger things on her mind right now.
That’s because Thomas just eavesdropped on Hope making hurtful remarks to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) – mostly about how unstable he is and how she wants nothing to do with him.
Hope was just frustrated over Brooke’s pressure, so she blurted out all this after she confessed her feelings for Thomas – though Thomas didn’t hear how she truly felt.
Now Hope’s faced with the task of doing damage control since she genuinely believes Thomas is a new-and-improved version of himself.
Hope will throw Brooke under the bus by acting like her mom was relentless and drove her to say things she didn’t mean.
Although Hope will come close to expressing her true feelings to Thomas, it won’t click for him that Hope’s genuinely attracted to him.
However, Thomas will at least believe Hope truly values him as a co-parent, business partner and friend, so it sounds like she’ll successfully spin her way out of trouble.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas will get updates on the rest of the story sooner or later, so Hope’s problems will only get worse from here.
