The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 2, indicates that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will feel like John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) has broken all his promises to keep their family safe.
Finn’s careless behavior at the beach was bad enough, but Steffy’s also having to deal with the news that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) got so close to her daughter.
Naturally, it’s a complicated situation since Sheila saved Kelly from being washed out into the ocean, but that doesn’t mean she’s some saint in Steffy’s eyes.
Sheila is still the same monster she always was as far as Steffy’s concerned, so she’ll find it troubling that Finn thinks his mom is some superhero.
Although Steffy was hoping there was another explanation for Finn’s hug with Sheila at the courthouse, she’ll start to realize he genuinely wanted to embrace her.
Finn may admit he can’t understand the pull he feels toward Sheila, but he can’t help it. There’s just something about his bio mom’s embrace that Finn finds comfort in.
Now that Sheila has saved Kelly’s life, it may leave Finn even more convinced that perhaps she’s not all bad.
Finn may open his heart to the idea that Sheila has changed, which is pretty much the last stance Steffy ever expected him to take.
Although Finn pushed Sheila to keep her distance after her life-saving actions, Steffy may sense that’s not what he truly wants.
Regardless, Steffy will know Finn’s behavior has encouraged Sheila and made her even more obsessed with becoming part of their family. Since Steffy can’t allow that, she’ll struggle over her next move.
Steffy will see that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is right about not being able to trust Finn’s judgment, so it looks like Finn and Steffy’s marriage is about to blow up in a big way.
If Steffy doesn’t take a stand before it’s too late, she’ll fear all this could snowball into an even worse disaster.
At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) apartment, he’ll also hear alarm bells when Sheila offers updates on her perfect future.
Sheila will think she’s on the right track to get everything she wants – including a strong relationship with Finn and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks).
However, it’s the details that may prove distressing to Deacon. Sheila might imagine getting full acceptance from Steffy and the Forresters as well as a chance to be part of major family events.
Of course, Sheila will probably look forward to babysitting the kids on a regular basis and may act like one heroic deed on the beach undoes all her mistakes.
Deacon was hopeful on Sheila’s behalf when she told him about the rescue, but he’ll start to waver on Wednesday’s B&B episode.
Sheila’s imagination will run away with her when it comes to her future, so Deacon will see some ominous signs of what’s ahead.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Deacon will feel the need to keep an eye on Sheila and keep her out of trouble, so stay tuned.
