On tonight’s #TheGoldenBachelor episode, Theresa felt excited at the start of this week. She was crying her eyes out not too long ago for hurting Kathy. But Theresa thought they’ve since worked through their issues.
Theresa knows now she’s been offending people and she claimed she’d get better only she was still sorting bragging about her relationship with Gerry.
She did that very same thing when Trista Rehn stopped by the house. Trista came by because she wanted to help put the ladies at ease. She told them that even if they didn’t find love with Gerry there was still a chance for them to grow. And Theresa couldn’t help mentioning her great date with Gerry to Trista.
It annoyed Kathy so much. Kathy hasn’t gotten much one on one time with Gerry. She was naturally excited when she got invited with some of the others on a group date.
They all got to play pickle ball. Gerry fell in love with the sport. He does it often at home. He wanted someone who’d be interested in it as well only April beat her to it with first impressions. April faked an injury on the court to get Gerry to comfort her. Her plan worked because Gerry was extra attentive to her and she made him laugh with her old person’s joke.
Sandra also left an impression when she played in the pickle ball championship. She has two knee replacements. She was also missing her daughter’s wedding.
She was fully committed to this process and she dominated on the court. She even went running into a crowd to win the championship. When she did eventually win it, Gerry did something special for her. He arranged for her to facetime with her daughter.
Her daughter was fine with Sandra missing the wedding. She said she’s already gotten her man and she wanted her mother to find that same love.
But all the same, that phone call meant the world to Sandra. It showed her that Gerry was a kind and thoughtful man. She started to fall in love with him because of that phone call.
Gerry stepped up in a huge way. Most of the ladies loved how caring he is. Theresa enjoyed it and that could be why she kept discussing her amazing date with Gerry. She wasn’t being malicious or trying to annoy other people. She genuinely is a very open person. She said what she’s feeling. She’s not used to censoring herself and so Kathy had to talk to her again.
Kathy later pulled Theresa aside. She reminded her about the rule of “no kissing and telling”. She fully believes that Theresa wasn’t getting it because she was a malicious person. Kathy just kept going on at her that her fellow woman didn’t see the problem she was causing.
Theresa was so confused by her encounter with Kathy that she brought it up with Gerry. Gerry was confused as well. He wasn’t quick to judgement. He didn’t want to take Theresa’s side or Kathy’s side. He spoke to Theresa. And so he thought it was only fair to talk to Kathy as well.
Gerry later asked Kathy if she told Theresa to zip it. Kathy confessed that she did. She claimed she had a good excuse and she gave that same excuse to Gerry.
She said hearing Gerry went up to Theresa’s room to comfort her had been upsetting. It didn’t matter that Gerry did the same with Kathy. Kathy doesn’t want to hear about anyone else’s great time with Gerry. It didn’t matter that she had time with him or the drama was turning him off. Kathy just had to say her peace. Gerry saw that and he didn’t give her a rose after the group date.
The group date rose went to Sandra. Her commitment to get to know him has been exceptional. Gerry rewarded her for that and Kathy got to learn that maybe she was a bit of a prude.
She figured that out when she and the other ladies played “Never Have I Ever”. They played with ice cream instead of booze. Sandra was lactose intolerant, but she had to take several scoops because apparently she and her late husband had sex everywhere. Including the workplace and a car. April had to take a few scoops as well. And Susan ended up revealing she once slept with a woman.
Kathy ate the least amount of ice cream out of all them. Sandra had to stay in bed later because her stomach was hurting her. Nancy was also injured because she stressed herself out on the pickleball court.
Susan later got pulled aside by Gerry. Gerry wanted to give her a gift. He gave her rose quartz because it signifies strength and beauty and he thought that best described Susan. Susan had loved her gift. Kathy couldn’t wait to see it when Susan returned to the house. And that was odd because if she didn’t like hearing about the ladies’ time with Gerry then she shouldn’t have passed on gossiping with Susan.
Kathy was “zip it” with Theresa. But she wasn’t like that with any of the other women. She was friendly with Susan. She was curious about what happened on Gerry’s solo date with Leslie. Leslie had gotten her rose already and so she’s safe this week. So was Sandra even if she was in bed with stomach pains.
Only Kathy knew she has a reason to be scared this week. She didn’t come off in the best light when she last spoke to Gerry. She was also competing against women that can match her in looks as well as smarts. Ellen had such a great time with Gerry that she told him she’s falling in love with him.
And Nancy had to quit tonight because she could see that she didn’t have a future with Gerry. April and Kathy were also going home tonight because they didn’t get a rose while Theresa did.
