Tonight’s The Good Doctor episode begins with Shaun, he is already thinking about his son’s future, looking at college’s online. He tells Lea that with their son’s genetic makeup, he will probably be really smart. Lea says Aaron looks sad since he lost his house, he just keeps throwing himself into his work.

Elsewhere Aaron leaves the hardware store and heads to the hospital.

At the hospital, Asher and Daniel ask Shaun for help, a patient’s father, Victor, wants a second opinion before the “young pups” take a saw to his son’s foot. Shaun says he is the supervisor and they need a saw to cut the nail, not the foot.

Aubrey and Jordan are in a patient’s room, her new lungs just arrived and she is thrilled. She takes a photo for her website, “65 roses.”

Victor is being a pain, Daniel gets the object out of his foot. Ricky, the boy, now has a temperature and Shaun was to take other tests to make sure he is ok. They do an MRI and there really is no reason for a fever, but then he starts to vomit, turns over and has tick bites on his back.

Morgan calls Alex to her office, he offers to help her because she is behind 14 patients, in exchange if he can use her coffee machine.

Audrey and Jordan look over the new lungs and there is pneumonia in both. They now have to tell their patient and she is lucky if she has another week. Jordan says maybe they can make the lungs heal themselves, like with Edema.

Ricky’s parents get into an argument, his father says his mother is irresponsible because she puts fun over safety.

Morgan and Alex go into see her last patient, he fell asleep, he has some aches and jaundice.

Shaun tells Lea that they should sort out their differences on child raising. Aaron never showed up at the hospital, but he texted Shaun that he is ok. Meanwhile, Aaron is cleaning out the rubble from his home.

Ricky has a rare infection that can cause cerebral swelling, he got invected through contaminated water at the pool.

It has been six hours, the lungs are still not ok.

Audrey and Jordan tell their patient they don’t have the lungs for her, she is back on the list, but at the top. The woman is devastated.

Shaun finds Aaron at his house, sitting down going through the rubble, he looks sad.

Shaun and Asher speak to Ricky’s parents, they tell them what they have to do, but it will affect his speech and memory, but not long term. They will not be able to fully access until he wakes up. Shaun tells them that Ricky’s skull is opened, they need a decision. His father said they should do it, these are smart doctors and this is a good hospital. They give the ok and Ricky’s parents hold hands, Shaun watches on and smiles.

Alex is examining Morgan’s patient, he says it is very unlikely that his diagnosis just got worse all of a sudden.

Aaron is still at the house, Lea shows up and asks him if it is time to go home. She arrives with food. He found a bottle of Maddie’s nail polish, so he painted his nails, she tells him it is a nice memory. Aaron says so many memories. He tells her more stories about Maddie. She tells him that she thought he might need someone to talk to. He says she should talk to Shaun, she says she knows but this was easier.

Jordan looks in on Audrey’s patient, her mother is reading to her, Jordan asks if she can up her morphine, she says yes. She then does a post for her vlog, she says the DLT didn’t work out, so this is going to be her last update. She couldn’t leave without saying goodbye. Her life has been cut short, but the upside is that she feels gratitude, grateful for a sweet mother and the people who keep hope alive like Audrey . All of a sudden the alarm goes off, she is in repository failure. Jordan wants to incubate her, her mother says no, they need to let her go.

Ricky is awake, he remembers his name and he remembers what happened at camp, that he stepped on a rusty nail.

Audrey’s patient is in surgery, she got the lungs working and they are doing the transplant.

Alex tells Morgan that Riggs was a lifetime blood donor, which eliminated his symptoms until he started the trial, he is not a liar, he is a hero. Morgan says her world view needs an adjustment.

Audrey’s patient is awake from surgery, she slowly takes her off the respirator, she does well, she breathes on her own and smiles.

Shaun arrives at the house, he joins Lea and Aaron, they all sit down together. Lea tells Shaun they should talk. He takes his pinky and grabs hers, tells her number 39, then the baby kicks. Lea tells Shaun and Aaron to think about all the new memories to be made. Aaron then says, lets go home.

THE END!
