Tonight on NBC their new medical drama “The Good Doctor” airs with an all-new Monday, February 27, 2023, episode and we have you The Good Doctor recap below. In tonight’s The Good Doctor season 6 episode, 12 called, “Hard Heart,” as per the ABC synopsis, “When a 3-year-old arrives at the ER, the team immediately recognizes he is having a stroke. However, Dr. Shaun Murphy’s diagnosis of the underlying cause doesn’t solve the problem which has Dr. Park search deeper.”

Tonight’s episode begins with Sean, who is sleeping and Lea wakes him up when she gets up to go to the bathroom. In the morning, everyone sits down for breakfast.
Marcus tells Jordan that he would like her to get involved in giving a speech to girls in high school, about becoming doctors. She says she is too busy.
Alex is examining boy named Nathan who hit his head on the trampoline two days ago. He got a bump and seemed fine. Alex notices there is something wrong with Nathan, he is having a stroke, not a concussion.
Daniel arrives to meet with Sean who tells him that he is one minute late, then asks for a urine sample to make sure he is not using again.
Asher is with Jordan, her grandmother is texting her, she is actually in emergency because she has chest tightness and swollen ankles. With her family connection, Jordan, she thought she could get good care. Asher offers to examine her. The sack around her heart is inflamed, there are calcium deposits, then she passes out.
Alex is with Nathan and his mother, she asks him to speak to her husband who wants to know what is going on, he is Alabama cleaning up after a tornado. Alex tells him that he is hoping to get his son better before he gets there.
Sean and Alex are in surgery with Nathan, Alex finds out that the hemmorage was not from hitting his head, he is sicker than they thought. He has a rare auto-immune deficiency disorder that is causing inflation of his blood vessels throughout his brain. The next step is chemo, going untreated is far worse, it can be fatal.
Jordan’s grandmother is in surgery, Audrey is leading, Asher is with her and Jordan is watching on from above. Audrey tells Jordan that her grandmother has what is known as a coconut heart, it is completely calcified.
Audrey is consulting on what the next steps are for Jordan’s grandmother with Asher, when Jordan interrupts, she has an idea on what they can do. Audrey listens and then throws her out, tells her that it is not her case.
Jordan goes to see her grandmother, and finds Marcus with her. Her grandmother asks her why she refused the mentorship program, Jordan doesn’t want to talk about it. She tells her grandmother about her diagnosis and what they want to do.
Lea and Sean arrive home, and find Aaron at home baby proofing the house from the baby’s prospective. He also bought three highchairs, so they could keep one, to choose the one they like and he will return the other two. He also bought them a nanny cam. Lea says that they won’t need to baby proof for a year. Aaron also bought them a book about parenting, Lea walks off and goes in the bedroom, closes the door.
Audrey gets mad at Jordan because she told her grandmother that she does not agree with Audrey’s decision. Audrey tells her to tell her grandmother she was wrong, or find her another hospital.
Alex goes to see Nathan and his mom, he is having his first dose of chemo. His mom is really tired, Alex tells her that she shouldn’t be doing this all alone. He asks for her phone and calls her husband.
Jordan goes to speak to her grandmother and tells her the truth.
Alex tells Nathan that his daddy is coming back soon. Nathan tells him that he hates the medicine. Alex tells him they are going to play hide and seek. Nathan is going in a tunnel to hide where nobody will find him and he will come back to get him soon. The scan shows that he has moya moya disease. He needs brain surgery. Alex tells his parents that the disease is hard to diagnose, the good news is that there is no more chemo.
Lea tries to go to the bathroom late at night and Aaron put a lock on the toilet, she had to pee in the bathroom. She returns to bed and tells Sean that Aaron has to go.
Jordan goes to see her grandmother and she is not in her bad, she asked Daniel to take her in the wheelchair for a lap so she could have a change of scenario.
Sean goes to see Aaron and tells him that even though they are not related he considers him to be the baby’s grandfather. Aaron hugs him.
Alex gets a call from Nathan’s father, he is almost there and wants them to hold surgery. Alex says he can’t but he will treat him like his own son, he promises.
Jordan’s grandmother is in surgery, Jordan is watching from above. There are complications, Jordan says she has an idea, Audrey listens to her.
Nathan’s surgery is over, Alex goes to see his parents and tells them that the surgery went well.
Jordan’s grandmother is awake from surgery, she says she can breathe for the first time in a long time. Jordan tells her that the surgical team got a little stuck, she just gave them another idea.
Daniel is the boardroom waiting for a meeting for addicts.
Jordan changes her mind about mentoring the women, Marcus is thrilled and tells her to be herself, it is more than enough.
Lea arrives home and finds out that Aaron moved out, but not far, a few doors away.
