Tonight on NBC their new medical drama “The Good Doctor” airs with an all-new Monday, April 3, 2023, episode and we have you The Good Doctor recap below. In tonight’s The Good Doctor season 6 episode, 16 called, “A Blip,” as per the ABC synopsis, “When a patient comes in with persistent and lingering COVID symptoms, the team discovers she may be dealing with something harder to treat. Andrews and Villanueva must contend with their hierarchy at the hospital and its effect on their relationship.”

Tonight’s The Good Doctor episode begins with Shaun who is in the hospital, he meets up with Aaron and tells him he made an error, he closed with eight sutures, not ten. Aaron says it was a blip, and says goodbye.

Jared invites Morgan, Asher, Jordan and Jerome to karaoke.

Asher and Shaun are examining a patient who says she is a biologist on indefinite leave because of lingering COVID symptoms.

Lea is in her office, Shaun walks in with paper, he tells her she is going to need it because he is printing 176 of Aaron’s surgeries, to find out if his mistake was a blip.

Jordan and Jared are examining a patient who is complaining of swollen ankles, her name is Daphne, and her symptoms may be hormone related. Morgan is there, she asks the patient what meds she has taken over the past five years. She lies back to have her knee examined and falls asleep, they hear a noise, look into her mouth and tell her she needs a tonsillectomy right away.

Asher, Daniel and Shaun are looking at their patient pictures and Shaun says she has the fourth malformation overriding her aorta, Shaun asks how is she still alive. Shaun tells his patient that she has TET,, they can repair her heart but they can’t help her with the long COVID symptoms.

Daphe is in distress, Jordan and Jared are paged, Alex is with her, they rush her into surgery.

In surgery, Daphne is in Vtech, they bring her back and everyone has a sigh of relief.

Alex goes in to see Shaun, he has the papers are all over his office and he tells Alex that he is looking into Aaron’s errors to see if there is a pattern.

Shaun’s patient is awake, Shaun tells her about the rare side affects.

Marcus tries to ask Dalisay on a date, but she tells him she is too busy, short staffed and has no time.

Audrey is with Shaun’s patient who tells her that she started writing, poetic therapy. All of a sudden, her blood pressure starts going down and she passes out.

Jared and Jordan are with Daphne, he tells her that she has a kidney issue, the narrowing of her renal arteries, this is because of her sleep apnea. She could have a renal bypass, but some complications can be fatal, but the risk is low. There is dialysis, but she would need multiple sessions several times a week for the rest of her life. Her daughter is there, she was moving away for a new job, but she tells her mom it is just a job, she will stay with her.

Daniel’s patient doesn’t want to go through with the TET repair, she tells him and Audrey to find another way to fix her heart. They tell Asher and tries to think of what Shaun would do, but his thoughts get mixed up with thoughts of Jerome. Daniel says maybe they should put in a shunt, Audrey brings it to the patient and she says yes. Audrey takes the opportunity to tell her about her own tragedy, when she was attacked and couldn’t walk. She started a new relationship that wouldn’t have happened otherwise, so her life improved.

At karaoke, there is a lot of food and a lot of rain checks, only Lea, Shaun and Jordan show up.

At karaoke, Shaun can’t stop talking about business, Lea plays the pregnant card to leave. Jordan turns to Jared and tells him maybe he should focus on being a first year resident than a party planner. They both receive messages, Daphne is getting septic, they have to go.

Shaun is ready to confront Aaron with his evidence.

Daphne receives antibiotics and is going to be ok, but if she doesn’t have the surgery and infection could come back again.

Audrey’s patient tells her that she has been waiting for the old her to come back, but she is not. She changes her mind, tells her to do the TET repair.

Jared and Jordan have a moment outside the hospital and Daniel sees it.

Daphne is out of surgery, she is going to be ok. Her daughter is with her and tells she needs to have her own life and once she recovers she will visit.

Audrey’s patient is out of surgery and doing well.

Shaun thinks Aaron’s cancer is back and wants him to do a scan, but he doesn’t want to. Shaun says he is asking him because the date and evidence he went through is sound and because it would be hard to lose his father when he is about to become one. He asks him to do it for him. He says ok.
