Tonight’s The Good Doctor episode begins with Lea making last minute preparations for the birth of their baby. She asks Shaun if he heard anything from Glassy, he might be mad at him of going behind his back to Audrey with his scans.
Audrey goes in to see Aaron and shows him his scans, he had a stroke.
A patient is in the ER, he hit the brakes instead of the brakes instead of the gas and banged his head on the steering wheel. His daughter says that for the last six months her father has been acting strangely, he orders an MRI just in case.
Shaun goes in to see Aaron, he says maybe he saved his life, he doesn’t know what he is going to do, but he will let him know.
Asher and Jared are with some young patients, Marcus is there as well and tells one young child that they are going to get some tests done and some ice cream. Marcus stays with the parents, Alex joins him. Alex says that Nico has no metastasis, they might get nine months. Marcus says it is good news.
Morgan is at home, she can’t get Eden to stop crying. She rocks her back and forth and finally, sleep. Morgan goes to walk away and Eden cries again.
Jordan asks Daniel where they are going on their date, he is not sure, so she says she will decide, it is supposed to be fun.
Aaron goes to see Audrey, she tells him that she is not comfortable with him doing any surgeries until they do more tests on him. He tells her to fire him if she doesn’t want him to operate and he will sue her.
Marcus is with Dalisay and they are making plans for a date, but she wants to give him a heads up about an email from the nurses regarding a union drive. She says they are underpaid and under appreciated. Alex walks in and says he got Nico’s pre-op testing back, his platelets are too low, he cannot have the surgery.
Shaun tells his patient, after the MRI, he has a tumour in his brain and that is what is altering his personality, his daughter was right. The patient passes on surgery, he doesn’t want to go back to what his personality was before.
Audrey and Marcus butt heads regarding Aaron.
Alex shows up at Morgan’s house, Eden is still crying, Morgan is walking around to quiet her. Alex offers to hold her, when he does, she stops crying and looks happy.
Shaun tells Audrey that his patient is refusing surgery and he wants her to talk to him. She tells him to ask Aaron, he is his best shot.
Marcus and Alex sit down with Nico’s parents and tell them that Nico is not making the platelets he needs and with him so sick it might be time to consider palliative care. His father won’t accept it, his mother does.
Shaun tells Aaron about his patient, Aaron won’t. Then, Aaron gets angry and tells Shaun that he should have never have gone to Audrey. Aaron gives in, he will talk to the patient.
Marcus goes in to speak to Nico’s mother to see if she is ok.
Shaun asks his patient if he prefers to be dead than have the surgery. He says he was a terrible father and he doesn’t want to go back to that. He doesn’t want to lose how close he is to his daughter now. Aaron says the brain is a funny thing, he might stay this way after surgery if he works hard to be the best person he wants to be. The patient gives in, Shaun is happy.
Aaron and Shaun do a practice run of the surgery to Shaun’s patient.
Alex says they have come up with an option but the side effects are huge. Nico’s mother asks Marcus what would he do in his place, he says he will do the surgery.
Morgan is still having issues at home, but she takes Alex’s advice, puts Eden in her baby carrier on the drier and turns it on, it works.
Aaron goes in to see Audrey and tells her that he wants Shaun off the case, he is just waiting for him to screw up and it makes him nervous. She says ok, she will replace Shaun.
Dalisay and Marcus are enjoying some dinner and wine together. She tells him that she hopes that the job won’t get in the middle of them.
Audrey tells Shaun that he is off the case, Aaron is pretty upset right now and he might pull out.
Morgan has run out of diapers, and just then Alex arrives at the door. She picks up Eden and answers it, she tells Alex she can’t do this, she is failing at everything.
Nico is in surgery, his tutor is going to be removed but there is a problem with his liver.
Dalisay got in to see Marcus, she tells him that she passed his offer on to the nurses, they aren’t interested, they want to go for a union.
Aaron is in surgery and Shaun interrupts, Aaron says one more word and he will be removed.
Lea is in the hospital, Jordan sees her and they talk about her date with Daniel.
Marcus and Alex tells Nico’s parents that they cannot do the surgery, any more operations will cause him more pain and will not help him. Marcus tells them to fight to give Nico as many beautiful days as they can.
Aaron is still in surgery, there is a lot of bleeding. Audrey looks little worried but he says it is expected. Aaron pauses and Shaun sees there is a problem, Audrey tells Aaron to say the next step, and he can’t, he walks away. Audrey takes over.
Afterwards, Aaron is speaking to Audrey, and he knows that what is best for the patients is to put down his knife.
Shaun is with his patient, he is waking up. Shaun says the tumour is removed and it was successful. HIs daughter reaches out for his hand and he pulls back, but then he looks at the locket she is wearing, he gave her, and he takes her hand.
Morgan is walking Eden, who is still crying and it is dark at night. She has Siri play some music to make her stop crying and it works.
Daniel shows up for his dat4e with Jordan, she tells them they are going to a Georgian place. They head outside and they see a Christmas market place that was set up for Nico, he is there with his parents and sister, Marcus is there as well and Dalisay. Jordan tells Daniel they can do dinner another night, they are staying. Dalisay tells Marcus she loves his side of him, he says it is a beautiful day.
Shaun goes to see Aaron, he tells him that his patient held hands with his daughter. Aaron tells Shaun that he humiliated him in his operating room in front of his colleagues. Shaun says he doesn’t know what to do, Aaron tells him to leave him alone. Lea calls then, she tells Shaun the peanut is coming early. He looks around, wanting to tell Aaron, but he is gone.
