Tonight’s episode begins with Nick Cannon announcing that it is Abba night on The Mask singer. All of our favorite panel is back, Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke, along with our reining champion Medusa and she is there with a vengeance ready to take on two more masked celebrities. Medusa shows off a new clue, a framed photo of Chris Martin. Tonight Medusa is singing “Dancing Queen.”
Jenny says she is her favourite contestant, she is so talent to be able to switch up genres like that. Bachelor alum, Nick Viall comes on stage to give a us a new clue, its a first class ticket #1996 to Tokyo. Nicole things it is Lorde. Robin thinks it is Apple Martin. Ken thinks it is Dakota Johnson, but the audience is not liking his guess.
A new masked singer is on stage, the Night Owl and she broke records and top charts at 17. She says there other divas like her but she is the pop princess OG, a triple threat. She has done movies, TV and Broadway. She is singing, “Fernando.”
Robin says she was effortless. Nick says he has no idea who she is. A kid dressed up as Napoleon comes on stage and gives a clue, bubblegum. Night Owl says it is sweet and bubbly just like her. Jenny is sure she is Debbie Gibson. Nicole is going for Paula Abdul, or Belinda Carlisle. Robin thinks she is Kylie Minogue.
It’s time for another masked singer, this one is the Rock Lobster. He has been in movies and TV shows since we were kids. Ten million people watched him dance for 15 seconds daily. He got expelled from three schools for pulling pranks. Now the things that got him in trouble, makes him money today.
He sings S.O.S.
Ru Paul’s Shangela comes on stage to give us a clue, it is a gavel and it goes bang, bang, bang. Ken thinks it is Howie Mandel. Jenny says no way. Nicole thinks it is Martin Short. Robin is getting Steve-O vibes.
The results are in, the masked singer leaving first tonight is the Rock Lobster. Nick says the Rock Lobster definitely knows him. Robin is still going with Steve-O. Jenny is going for Martin Short. Nicole agrees with Jenny. Ken is going for Howie Mandel. Well this is a first in a long time, it is Howie Mandel. Howie says he did the show because he misses Nick and he just wanted to have fun. He also dances on TikTok, he has 10 million viewers.
It is time for the Battle Royale and the winner will move on to the New York theme next week. They are singing, “The Winner Takes All.”
It is up to the panel to decide tonight’s champion. The singer moving on to next week is Medusa. Ken’s final guess is Jessica Parker. Robin is going for Kylie Minogue. Nicole for Belinda Carlisle. Jenny says she considers this person family, she toured with her husband, Debbie Gibson.
Time to unmask, the Night Owl is Debbie Gibson. Jenny was right. Nick says there is an icon in the business. Debbie says she lost her mom one year ago, and it was the anniversary yesterday. She got a text when she was on a plane that someone was sick and they wanted her to take over the Night Owl. Jenny calls her a class act.
