The Resident Recap 01/10/23: Season 6 Episode 12 “All the Wiser”

Tonight on FOX their new medical drama The Resident airs with an all-new Tuesday, January 10, 2023, episode and we have your The Resident recap below. In tonight’s The Resident season 6 episode 13, “All the Wiser”  as per the FOX synopsis, “The ER quickly fills up after a heavy storm causes a devastating helicopter crash. Conrad, Devon and the rest of the Chastain doctors rush to treat patients including the helicopter pilot, a barista, and Chastian’s least favorite person, Governor Mark Betz.

Then, Conrad is pulled away from celebrating Gigi’s 6th birthday when Sammie comes into Chastian with a 104-degree fever, and Kit must call in a favor for treatment. Meanwhile, a heart arrives for Governor Betz’s transplant surgery

Tonight’s The Resident episode begins with Billie waking up beside Conrad, he tells her that the evening was amazing and so is she. They both agree that being together feels right.

Meanwhile, Cade has moved on quickly, waking up beside James.

Kit tells Randolph that the whole hospital is at risk of getting shut down by spring, they need all the help they can get, they need him in the OR. He tells her the treatment worked less this time than before. Irving messages them and says turn on the tv, there was a helicopter crash and one of the victims was the governor. It happened close to Chastain.

Irving and Devon are taking them inside the emergency department when Conrad and Cade show up.

The governor is brought in and he is shouting that he should be there. Kit is there and he tells her that he is sure she is loving this. He says he is not about to let them kill him. Kit tells him they will do their best and she will try to get him transferred in the meantime. The governor keeps compiling and both Conrad and Devon try to calm him down.

The pilot is in an observation, she passes out while her parents are there and they are furious, the father wants to give the governor a piece of his mind.

AJ meets up with James and says he head that he broke up with Billie. James says everybody ended up where they should be.

The governor is still ranting and begins having a heart attack.

Marco calls Devon who tells him that he is not the right collaborator.

Leela is with Padma, they share some bonding time and talk about AJ and the kids.

The governor is in the operating room and Conrad and AJ can see that the patient had two previous stents, he was not truthful about his medical history. He was a cardiac time bomb before the accident.

Irving bumps into Ian on the street.

The governor is awake, he tells Conrad and AJ that they are not permitted to speak about his medical history past or present. AJ tells him that his only hope for survival is a heart transplant. Presently his heart is only working at 10%. He is sick enough to need a new heart, but not sick enough to be on a list. The governor tells them that he wants on the top of the transplant list and if they can’t do it, some other hospital will.

The pilot is in surgery, she starts having problems, there is a bleed on the side of her brain.

Cain finds Ian in his office, she welcomes him back and tells him to take it slow. See says he hasn’t seen Kit yet, he has some explaining to do, he has to come clean.

Leela tells Devon that she is worried about Padma when she returns.

The pilot is out of immediate danger but they won’t know if she is going to be alright just yet.

The governor tells AJ that he is willing to save the hospital, out of gratitude. His personal physician told him that there are things they can do to put him on the top of the list of donors. If they do that, he takes care of them.

Devon meets Marco and tells him that he has had a change of mind. Devon is willing to get on board.

Ian meets with Kit and he ells her he has a personal issue that he needs to take care and he can’t do that working the way he used to work. He tells her that it is best he resigns.

Ian is leaving the hospital, Cade sees him and he tells her that he couldn’t tell Kit the truth, he is heart broken, he loved being there with her.

Randolph tells Kit that Devon is doing phase 2 and he is thrilled. Kit gets a message, there has been a motor cycle accident, there may be a heart for the governor. Randolph says he hopes they don’t regret the deal they made with the governor.

Jake is on a plane with her daughter and she starts having pain in her stomach.
