Tonight’s The Rookie episode begins with another documentary about two copes who arrest two people who look just like them. Chen looks like Juicy, Bradford looks like Dim. Bradford and Chen went undercover.
Chen is about to be interviewed when Bradford calls her out of the room, Dim is missing.
Thorsen finds a body in a dumpster and calling in, it is Dim, Bradford’s dopleganger. The time of death is about 30 hours before Thorsen found him. He was missing for four hours, there were no security cameras.
Lopez and Harper are following up on some leads. They are interviewing Dim’s girlfriend Juicy and tells her that she has to come clean. Nolan walks in and interrupts, he tells them they found another body. In the the days following finding Dim’s body, the officers are looking around the property and they find another body, the Baudelaires’ nanny. They go back in to ask about Holland Po, the nanny. She says she never met her.
They go see the Baudelaires and they suggest they speak to Jesse Long, the Contractor. He knew Holland, he stopped working for the Baudelaires a week before Holland went missing. They know he was threatening Holland and if he doesn’t speak, they are going to arrest him for murder. He says he didn’t mean to kill her, it got out of hand.
At he Baudelaires mansion, Grey notices a secret passage way and the team goes in to check it out. It leads them through a tunnel into a room with, there is a picture of the lost emperor, who looks exactly like Grey who takes a selfie beside it. Also in the room are other artifacts throughout. It is stolen art all bought on the black market. The most valuable thing is a ladder, that is how Dim got out of the house, a clear path with no cameras to get out of the house.
Juicy has a video of she and Dim, someone tried to kill them while they were driving their car before he was found dead. Someone sent a text to Dim threatening him, Chen goes under cover to try and find him. It doesn’t take long for them to take the guy down, but LAPD and CIA are both there.
Turns out that Dim and the arms dealer, Meyer Balik, were distant cousins. Bradford found out that the agency had been teaching them for months. Mayer Malik Balik was interested In a Miquelet flintlock rifle that the Baudelaires had, he had been looking for it for decades. So he called cousin Dim and set up a meeting.
When they searched the secret room, the rifle was gone, so this means Dim took it somewhere else.
They went back to the car crash to relook at evidence. Turns out, Dim was cheating on Juicy. He was having an affair with Lisa Miller, Juicy’s BFF.
We then see Dim get out of prison. Lisa couldn’t handle that Dim wasn’t with her, so she tried to run them off the road. That failed, she met with Dim and shot him, dumped his body in the dumpster. They went to arrest Lisa , she notices them and has a rifle in the back of her truck, she shoots Nolan, but it didn’t puncture a hole in his bullet proof vest.
Grey is called into the bullpen, the painting of the emperer got destroyed by vandals, so the team gets another one done, but this one is Grey as a dragon slayer.
Lisa went to prison, but they didn’t know what to do with Juicy, ultimately they cut her loose.
