Tonight’s The Walking Dead: Dead City episode begins with Maggie, she is looking across the water and she sees a horde of walkers. She pulls out a map from her pocket to look at, but is interrupted by some walkers passing by, so she hides under a bride. All of a sudden, a walker, grabs her legs and tries to grab her down, but she fights back and smashes its head to bits while screaming.
Maggie then enters a bar for a drink and starts talking to the bartender about a guy he knows that is good groaner, the best he has seen. Maggie pretends to go to the little girls room, but instead heads outside to what looks like a motel. She slips inside one of the rooms, hears the shower on and grabs a knife that she finds on the table – all of a sudden, two guys grab her from behind and drag her back to the bar.
The two men and a women try to overtake her, but Magie has a surprise knife in the toe of her boot and she gets loose. While she was struggling, we get a glimpse of Megan, he was in the bar. Maggie gets outside and escapes in a truck, while she is driving away she sees Megan and girl running and stops.
They stop to talk, Megan calls over the girl, her name is Ginny. He tells her that he and Maggie are old acquaintances. Maggie tells him that she got raided a few weeks ago, they took her kid Herschel, the man who talk him is called the Croat and he took him to Manhattan. Croat had this whistle, one similar to Megan. Megan says Croat is a psycho, he used to be on his crew and is a real sick sob. She wants his help to get Herschel back, she tells him that he owes her.
Maggie is in her truck, Megan and Ginny are in the back. Maggie stops, she sees some walkers, they are hung up from the neck ropes just as she is heading into New Babylon.
Maggie stops on the side of the road and shoots a flare, Megan says this is not the way to Hilltop and Maggie says it is not.
Ginny falls asleep, Negan tells Maggie that he met her on a farm. She found her dad one night, he turned, it was bad, she hasn’t spoken since.
Elsewhere, the Marshall’s truck pulls up to the bar, they have a wanted poster when Negan’s photo on it and ask if anyone has seen him, he murdered a magistrate in cold blood and according to Babylon law, he he will be sawed in half lengthwise, from the groin to the head very slowly.
He has built an empire like a king, and he is known for bashing in a man’s head in front of his pregnant wife. He asks one last time if they have seen Megan, the answer is no. The Marshall takes out the owner of the bar, and threatens to kill her. She gives in, she tells him that he was working there, killing walkers, but he left with a woman in a truck. He tells her she was aiming and abetting, he throws her behind the fence for the walkers to feed on.
A woman meets Negan and Maggie, she takes Ginny with her to Hilltop where she will be safe. Maggie tells Megan to get back int he truck unless he wants the law catching up with him. Marshall finds Maggie’s map book on the ground, she dropped it before she made a run away from he bar, he notices a page has been taken out, Manhattan.
Maggie and Megan stop for a bit to rest, she dozes off and has a nightmare of Negan bashing her husband’s head in. She wakes up and he asks her how all this is going to play out, she says she has a plan. He tells her that she needs him to get her son back. He says what he did is not what the marshals says and he believes he has paid for what he has done.
Marshall and two men are headed to Manhattan as well, they arrive there, one gets out and Maggie is quick to find him and put a knife to his throat, then take him on a boat with Negan who wants to throw him overboard, he says he is a junior Marshall. They arrive in Manhattan, Megan asks Maggie if when this is all over, will she take care of Ginny for him. Junior tries to run off and they grab him, Maggie tells him if he does it again, he is going to wish Megan threw him off that boat. All of a sudden, walkers fall from a building, someone is throwing them down. They are walking and Megan alerts Maggie to a trap, she by passes it. All of a sudden, they are backed into a corner with a horde of walkers coming at them. They try to hide where there is a pile of garbage bags but cockroaches start coming out all around them. They hear machine guns, someone is shooting the wakers, they make a run for it and hide inside what looks like a dry cleaning business. Little do they know, the two marshals are in the same building. The Marshall calls out to Maggie, he says his name is Pearly Armstrong, he is not her enemy. He says if he gets to her first, he will be less open to talk. The junior Marshall almost gets taken in by a walker but Megan saves him, only to have Pearly shots him dead. The second marshal gets taken in by walkers, there is only Pearly left and he finds Maggie and almost does her in, but she manages to pull free and bashes him to the ground.
Herschel is tied to a chair, there is an older man in room with him who asks if he knew the man who killed his father, Megan. Herschel tries to act tough, the man pulls out some kind of a saw to scare him. Another man comes to the doorway and says he got away. Outside, the man they are talking about is bloodied and tires to get away, but falls twenty stories to his death.
