The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that some great pre-February sweeps drama is in the works, so we should talk about what’s in store. Since February sweeps are just around the corner, Y&R will set the stage for some shockers beforehand and make sure viewers are ready for all the fallout.
For starters, we should talk about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) wild plan.
Jack will take a huge risk by stealing Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) expensive necklace and letting Diane get all the praise from Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Diane will offer up that necklace to Jeremy and seemingly convince him to trust her, but that’ll bring another test.
Jeremy is clearly expecting to be scheming partners with benefits, so that’ll put Diane in a tricky bedroom situation where she has to decide her level of commitment.
Jack and Diane will run into some other obstacles like vengeful Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), inquisitive Nikki and even a curious Detective Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
All of this could be building to a criminal blowup and some arrests, so the pre-February sweeps chaos will be important.
Of course, Y&R fans will also see the rapid decline of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) marriage.
Diane’s nightmare will leave Summer and Kyle’s relationship in a terrible state, so they’ll have to decide if there’s a way to fix this.
Meanwhile, pre-February sweeps spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will get updates on Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) pregnancy, so he’ll react to that news and try to figure out what’s next.
Nick and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are both father options, so the paternity mystery will become a bigger focus soon.
Adam will need to hear about Sally’s bun in the oven at some point, but he’ll be busy dealing with Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) looming plot for a while.
Victor will pressure Kyle to make some dirty moves and get Adam kicked out of Jabot, so the pre-sweeps Newman mayhem will be about orchestrating Adam’s forced failure.
That’ll be Victor’s way of setting up Adam’s Newman Enterprises comeback and trying to get his family back in a more united place.
There’ll also be some tough emotions for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as she tackles some new ex awkwardness with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who’ll remain increasingly drawn to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Adam will find himself possessive over Chelsea, but she seems far more interested in spending time with Billy and developing their strong bond.
Lily and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will struggle with their sibling connection as they try to find a path forward that they can both agree on.
Since Devon and Lily have such different business opinions, it’ll be difficult to separate that from their personal relationship.
Of course, all the chaos will only push Lily in Daniel Romalotti’s Jr (Michael Graziadei) direction even further.
Finally, we should talk about Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) now that he’s suffered some bitter defeats.
Pre-February sweeps will put Tucker at a crossroads, so he could make some even worse choices after losing hope with Devon and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
