The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview update for Monday, May 8, teases that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will spend some time catching up with his biological mother, Harmony aka Yolanda Hamilton (Chene’ Lawson).
Once Devon finds out Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) found Harmony at a conference in Chicago and sent a car for her, he’ll be deeply moved.
Devon will feel like this is a great start when it comes to Tucker’s efforts to rebuild their relationship and will thank his bio dad a little later.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will notice that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) keeps sending dirty looks Harmony’s way, so she’ll seek the scoop from Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
Sharon will hint about Tucker and Harmony sharing “a moment” together back when he was married to Ashley, so Mariah will get the cheating picture.
Afterward, Harmony will think it’s wonderful that Tucker and Ashley have been able to come together again after all the obstacles.
Once Harmony talks about their bond being something to cherish, Tucker will beam as Ashley suggests that was a lovely thing to say.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will have to tackle questions about Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) absence, but he’ll act like she probably just crashed at home after her shift and will mention that he came straight from the airport.
Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) memorial service won’t be the time or place to get into all Nate’s relationship drama, so he’ll hide the truth about the breakup for now.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will stand in front of Neil’s portrait and gush over what a great family man Neil was, so the partygoers will all share a toast in remembrance.
Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will have plenty of people expressing their condolences and worrying about him, so he’ll struggle with guilt since Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) isn’t really dead.
When Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) tries to get to the bottom of what Daniel’s feeling, he’ll hint about a battle with his conscience and refuse to get into the details.
Even so, Lily will know the kind of man Daniel is and will feel certain that he’ll do the right thing.
Most of the memorial party guests will be gone when Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) makes a surprise appearance and helps his family pay tribute.
As the gathering wraps up, Devon will decide to legally change his last name to Winters to honor Neil and will get Harmony’s blessing on that decision.
Y&R spoilers say Malcolm and Lily will celebrate the news of Devon officially becoming a Winters – though he’s always been one in their hearts.
At the Abbott mansion, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will be confused when she walks in and sees Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in the living room, but Kyle will offer updates on the whole bail situation.
Despite Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) insistence that Diane is an innocent woman, Summer will still blame her for all the drama her family’s going through and will end up running out the door following Daniel’s text message.
Although Jack will urge Kyle to be patient and wait for Summer with open arms, Kyle will feel like that’ll take too long and will ultimately run out the door after her.
As Jack cuddles Diane on the sofa, he’ll hope that the family can find healing after the truth about Phyllis’ fate comes to light.
In the park, Daniel will hear a noise and look unsettled until Summer appears.
Summer will think it’s too risky to keep meeting there, but Daniel will ignore her complaints and launch a tirade about how much he hates lying about Phyllis’ death.
That’s why Daniel will contend that they have to expose Phyllis’ survival and track her down, but Summer obviously won’t approve of that plan.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will seem terrified and exasperated over this ordeal, so Phyllis is really putting her daughter through some difficulties!
