The Young and the Restless (Y&R) preview video for the week of June 26-30 reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will land at the center of some major Genoa City drama. The trouble will start with some deception since Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will end up fibbing to her son.
“You lied to Kyle…again,” a surprised Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) admits in the weekly preview video.
It’s clear that Diane’s move will catch Jack off guard, so she’ll be forced to explain herself.
Diane’s decision to deceive Kyle may be part of her plan to help Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) patch things up with him.
However, Jack will probably warn Diane that it’s best to let Kyle and Summer deal with their issues alone.
Since Diane definitely doesn’t need to be telling any more lies, Jack will hope to get through to her.
If Diane does make a sneaky effort to repair Summer and Kyle’s fractured marriage, it won’t pay off – at least not right now.
Kyle will push for a separation, so Summer will have some crushing news when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) checks in with her.
After Summer updates Nick on Kyle asking her to move out, he’ll no doubt hug “Supergirl” and wish he could fix everything for her.
Nick will blame Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) for creating this mess, but Summer will know she made her own decisions and has to pay the price for them.
Part of Summer will still hold Diane responsible for setting off a chain reaction, but another part of her will battle guilt since she could’ve told Kyle the truth and chose not to.
As Kyle copes with the pain, he’ll find a fun distraction at the jazz lounge. Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will happily flirt with Kyle as they throw back plenty of drinks together.
Once Audra assures Kyle that her achievements aren’t confined to the boardroom, she’ll add that she’s got a few moves.
“I bet you do,” Kyle says with a smile in Y&R’s weekly preview clip. “How about you show me some?”
Audra will accept Kyle’s invitation, so they’ll hit the sheets in a GCAC suite soon after.
Regrets will follow for Kyle, but he’ll have to live with the choices he’s making.
