The Young and the Restless Recap: Friday, August 11 – Phyllis’ Party Flops – Nikki Warns Audra

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, August 11, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will leave Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) wary when she texts them about meeting in the park.

After Summer brings up Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) leverage and how Phyllis used Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to gain the upper hand, Daniel will fume over their mom always choosing the worst possible options.

Although Summer will suggest it’ll be sad when Phyllis goes to prison, she’ll think it’s time to focus on her own life and stop dealing with all the drama.

Daniel will be on the same page, so they’ll plan to make their stance clear to Phyllis as a team.

In the park, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will be on hand to support Phyllis at her freedom celebration, which will involve cake and Champagne at a lovely little table.

Y&R spoilers say Phyllis will be grateful to Lauren for standing by her. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will still be out of the country, but Phyllis will be thankful for his friendship as well.

As Phyllis plans to make the most of her second chance and prove she’s changed, Daniel and Summer will arrive.

The celebratory setup will confuse Summer and Daniel, so Phyllis will explain that the judge set her free.

Daniel and Summer won’t be jumping for joy like Phyllis expected, so she’ll wonder what’s up.

Phyllis will act like they should enjoy this party since she’s not going to prison, but Summer will be confused over what they’re celebrating.

Daniel will back Summer up since Phyllis put them through so much pain.

Summer will point out that she lost her marriage, so she’ll warn that some cake and Champagne aren’t going to fix this.

When Summer and Daniel declare that they’re done, Phyllis will ask what that means.

Daniel and Summer will insist Phyllis will have to prove herself if she wants to reconnect, so she’ll push them to tell her how.

Unfortunately, Summer and Daniel will think that’s something Phyllis will have to figure out on her own.

Once Daniel and Summer stomp off, Phyllis will seem down in the dumps as she eats cake with Lauren, who’ll offer a toast and a pep talk.

Despite the discouraging party response, Phyllis will plan to find a way to get Summer and Daniel’s respect back.

At the jazz lounge, Summer will tell Daniel that she’s not bitter, but she won’t be naïve to what Phyllis is capable of anymore either.

Summer will insist she’s done with Phyllis’ BS and won’t let anyone stand in the way of moving forward.

Meanwhile, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will secretly meet with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and warn her that if things threaten to go sideways in this merger push, then he’s out.

Nate will want to handle Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in his own way, but Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will worry about Adam and the ticking clock.

At Crimson Lights, Adam will seem hopeful about acquiring Newman Media again, so Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will worry about what he’s up to.

When Audra walks in, Adam will pull her aside to grill her about her progress.

Audra will point out that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is still out of the country and will add that this is proving to be a tough sell with Victoria as well as Nikki.

Adam will suggest that Audra needs to make Nikki her best friend then since he’ll be running out of patience.

Afterward, Sharon will grow suspicious of Adam and Audra’s meeting.

Although Sharon will warn Adam not to let his vendetta with Victoria blow their new opportunity, he’ll act like she’s overreacting.

In Victoria’s office, she’ll inform Nate that she’s changed her mind and is no longer willing to consider the Adustus and Newman Media merger.

Nate will keep trying to sell Victoria on the benefits, but he’ll finally drop it and vow not to bring it up again until she does.

As for Nikki, she’ll seem suspicious when she gets a text from Audra about meeting up.

It won’t be long until Nikki joins Audra at the GCAC, where she’ll push Audra to cut to the chase.

Audra will insist she values her role at Newman Media, but she’ll give a spiel very similar to the one Nate gave about the redundancies and how the merger could be beneficial.

Nikki will wonder where Audra’s getting her information, so Audra will suggest she did her due diligence and will deny discussing this with Nate.

After Nikki warns Audra not to bring up the merger idea again, she’ll corner Nate at Newman Enterprises.

Nikki will mention Audra’s merger push and how she claimed she hadn’t talked to Nate about it.

Nate will back up Audra’s lie and point out that it’s no longer an issue anyway since Victoria nixed the plan.

Later, Nate will show up at Audra’s suite to blast her for setting off Nikki’s alarm bells.

After Nate says the merger’s not happening, Audra will feel like she’s screwed and will lose everything.

Back with Nikki, she’ll give Victoria updates on her suspicions about Audra and Nate being up to something together.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate and Audra’s alliance could lead to bad news, so stay tuned to see if it’ll blow up in their faces.
