The Young and the Restless Recap: Friday, August 4 – Adam Pushes Sharon & Nick Reunion – Tucker Calls Off Phyllis Deal

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, August 4, reveals that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will show up at Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) apartment to discuss office space, but she’ll sense that he’s distracted.

After pushing Adam to open up, he’ll talk about how he knows he should let Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) go.

At the same time, Adam will feel like that’d be a mistake since Sally brings out the best part of him.

Once Adam says they belong together, he’ll argue that Sally is only with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) because he’s the safer choice.

Adam will contend that the whole town knows Nick still loves Sharon – his one true love.

If Sharon would embrace that, Adam will feel like everything would fall into place.

After Sharon snaps that she won’t be a pawn in Adam’s game, he’ll insist he respects her too much to manipulate her.

Sharon will admit she shouldn’t have pushed Adam to open up about his feelings and will think it’s time to focus on their own lives.

At Society, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will point out that if Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) tests him, he’ll have to call her bluff.

Phyllis will act like she’s in charge thanks to the recording artist cover-up, but Tucker will ultimately insist the Carson (Walter Belenky) deal is off and warn that she can’t touch him.

Afterward, Tucker will show up at Adam’s apartment to discuss the info Phyllis acquired from him. After Tucker suggests a mutually beneficial proposition, he’ll ask what Adam wants.

Adam will insist that if Tucker keeps Phyllis out of prison, then he’ll forget about Tucker’s scandal.

Although Adam will be cagey about his reasons, he’ll make it clear that he wants Carson delivered to Phyllis. Once Adam urges Tucker to think about it and let him know, he’ll add that he should do it soon.

At the Chancellor mansion, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will talk to Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) about Tucker and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) having their upcoming wedding there.

Lily will also open up about her easy romance with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), so Devon will think it’s nice when you can find simplicity and happiness.

At the GCAC, Ashley will meet with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) and assure her that she’s decided to drop her grudge. From now on, Ashley will act like she’s focused on her new venture with Tucker.

Abby will be skeptical about Ashley truly moving on, but Ashley will insist it’s true and will hope to make peace with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

After Abby promises to do whatever she can to bring both sides together, she’ll insist that she’ll try to get Jack to come to the wedding.

Later, Ashley will meet up with Tucker at home, where she’ll hint about lying to Abby by omission.

However, Ashley will justify it since with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) involved, she’s not directly in the fight anymore.

Tucker will hope they can trust Billy since Phyllis has become a liability.

Although Ashley will wonder what that means, Tucker will simply tell her not to worry and will add that it’s nothing he can’t handle.

As for Abby, she’ll tell Devon that she’s cautiously optimistic after her conversation with Ashley. Abby will be determined to make sure this wedding doesn’t go down in flames.

Back at Society, Daniel will confront Phyllis after catching her with Tucker and will learn Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) wants to prosecute Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier)

During their discussion, Phyllis will admit that Christine offered her a deal where she’d plead guilty and help Summer stay out of trouble.

Daniel will push Phyllis to take the deal, but she’ll hint that it’s not that easy and will suggest there are other variables.

Nevertheless, Daniel will ask if Phyllis really wants to see Summer cuffed and booked over her mom’s mistakes.

Phyllis will protest since Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) believes in her case. It’ll leave Phyllis hopeful about protecting Summer and walking free at the same time.

Daniel will grow frustrated over Phyllis working with Tucker and gambling with Summer’s future.

After Daniel says Phyllis hasn’t changed at all, he’ll angrily warn her to do the right thing, take the deal and start making amends.

In the park, Daniel will give Lily updates on the Summer situation and his disappointment in Phyllis.

It’ll lead to Daniel deciding that he has to step up and protect his sister, even if it means standing up to his own mother.

Lily will suggest Daniel just has to figure out a way to ensure Summer’s safety and well-being, so he’ll ask if she has any ideas.

At Society again on Friday’s Y&R episode, Sharon will approach Phyllis and guess that they’ll be working together – that is if Phyllis wins in court.

Phyllis will confirm that she has something up her sleeve, but Sharon will hint about it being time to face the consequences.

After Sharon talks about building something serious and potentially wonderful with the Newman brothers, she’ll warn that Phyllis will need to beat the charges and play by the rules to be part of it.

When Adam enters, he’ll join Sharon and Phyllis as he tries to push for peace.

Adam will acknowledge that they’ve all made mistakes in the past, but he’ll really think they can all work together now.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis has some stressful moments ahead of her, so stay tuned for news on her upcoming trial.
