The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, December 22, reveals that Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will meet up with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) to hand over a gift-wrapped Fenmore’s purchase that Christine made for Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).
Lauren will wonder if Danny and Christine have made it out of the friend zone yet, but Christine won’t want to jinx it by spilling too much.
Once Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) comes along and sees the sparkle in Christine’s eyes, he’ll privately tell Lauren that he’s all for whatever makes Christine happy – especially after what happened with Paul Williams (Doug Davisdson).
Michael will have a holiday surprise for Lauren and will hand over a key to their favorite GCAC suite.
As for the other gift in Michael’s pocket, he’ll suggest Lauren will have to wait until later to see it.
Lauren will eventually make her way to the room and find that it’s all decked out for a romantic Christmas Eve.
After Michael appears, he’ll make love to Lauren before it’s gift exchange time.
Michael will give Lauren a gorgeous ring and ask her to make him the happiest man alive by marrying him all over again.
It turns out Lauren had the same idea since she’ll give Michael a new wedding band and ask him to marry her all over again as well.
Michael and Lauren will accept each other’s proposals as they prepare to renew their vows.
Once Christine shows up at Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) place, there’ll be some Christmas singing in progress.
Danny, Daniel, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will all be belting out a holiday tune, but Phyllis will manage to hear the doorbell and open up.
Phyllis won’t seem pleased over Christine’s arrival, but Danny will happily invite her in.
As Christine tells a story from Danny’s past, Phyllis will correct her on some things and cause some tension to bubble up.
Summer will eventually push Phyllis to leave with her since they promised to meet up with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for dinner.
Heather will also need to head out, so Phyllis will try to give Christine a nudge to exit since the party’s breaking up.
Christine will want to stick around and give her present to Danny, so they’ll have a private gift exchange later.
After Danny opens the box, he’ll pull out a vintage robe that was once owned by Brian Ferry.
Danny will love it and encourage Christine to open her present next.
It’ll be a bracelet identical to the one Danny got Christine on their honeymoon.
Christine was heartbroken when she lost the first one, so she’ll consider this the perfect gift and offer Danny a kiss.
In Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) suite, he’ll get pestered by reporters over the phone.
When asked for a quote, Tucker will blurt out “bah freaking humbug” and hang up!
Downstairs on Friday’s Y&R episode, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will talk to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) about Tucker’s scandal and decide to hear his bio dad’s side of the story.
Although Devon won’t think it’ll make much of a difference, he’ll suggest he’ll just be disappointed again and act like that’s normal for him by now.
Tucker will ultimately join Devon and Abby at their table, so he’ll explain that the musical artist was already in jail by the time he found out about the underage girls.
Tucker fired everyone involved in the cover-up, but he’ll admit he brushed it all under the rug to protect the company.
Devon will act like Tucker only cares about how this makes him look and won’t think he has any real moral code.
As the conflict escalates, Tucker will angrily wonder whether he should bring the Christmas gifts over for Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) or just drop them on the porch.
Devon will allow Tucker to bring them over and see Dominic, but only because he thinks Dom would like it and doesn’t want to punish him.
That said, Devon will make it clear that he has no interest in having a personal relationship with Tucker.
After Tucker leaves, Devon will ask Abby if he just made the wrong choice. Abby will admit she’s always been wary of Tucker being in Dominic’s life, but she’ll guess it’s better to allow it and supervise it so that Tucker doesn’t get sneaky.
Back with Summer, she’ll get updates on a family crisis that’s preventing Nick from making it to dinner.
Nick won’t go into the details, but Summer will sense that he’s upset.
Once Summer gets Nick’s bad news and cancels dinner to go check on him, Phyllis will insist she understands.
After Phyllis finds Tucker alone in the jazz lounge, he’ll realize her plans fell through and offer to buy her a drink.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tucker will keep trying to pull Phyllis into his orbit, so stay tuned.
