The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, June 16, reveals that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will give Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) some medication to lower her blood pressure, but she’ll grow concerned about the severity of her symptoms.
After Elena explains that they may have to induce labor, Sally will argue that it’s way too early.
Elena will insist it’s the most viable option since waiting poses a higher risk to both mother and child.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will give Sally a pep talk and promise to call Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so she’ll tell him he’s the best and mention that Hope would be a beautiful name for their child.
After Adam leaves Nick a voicemail about Sally being in the hospital, he’ll say a prayer for her and their unborn daughter.
Adam will also call Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) looking for Nick, but he’ll have to hang up quickly when Elena returns.
Elena will admit that the situation has taken a turn since unconscious Sally’s medication isn’t working and she’s at risk for placental abruption.
If they’re going to save the baby, Elena will insist they have to take her now.
However, there’ll be a chance that they might lose Sally during the procedure, so Elena will force Adam to make a choice.
“Do we save the baby or do we save the mother?” Elena will ask on Friday’s Y&R episode.
Adam will insist he can’t choose who lives and who dies, so he’ll push Sally to wake up and boss him around as usual.
As Adam sits by Sally’s bedside, he’ll feel like he knows what she would want.
Elena will warn that time if of the essence, so the doctors will have to make a decision for Adam if he can’t provide one.
Before Elena can leave the room, Adam will call out for her to wait since he’s made his choice.
Later, Elena will tell Adam that it was touch and go, but they were able to stabilize Sally.
When Adam asks about the baby, Elena will remind him that there was no way to save them both.
After Elena says she’s so sorry, Adam will cry as he accepts the loss of his unborn child.
When Sally wakes up in her hospital bed, she’ll ask Adam about their baby and leave him with a pained expression on his face.
At Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) cottage, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will bring the bag from Cameron Kirsten’s (Linden Ashby) room in case Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) can help find a clue he missed.
Sharon will find a stolen article of clothing from her room along with a paper that was previously hidden.
It’ll turn out to be the schematics for the Genoa City sewer system.
When Cameron calls Sharon, he’ll warn that he can’t guarantee the condition Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will be in when he returns her.
Cameron will also hint that Sharon can find Faith in the place where she expected to find his dead body all those years ago.
After Sharon disconnects, she’ll give Chance and Nick updates on the conversation.
Nick and Chance will make plans to enter the sewer system, but Sharon will insist on going with them and will think she needs to be the one to end this.
Meanwhile, Cameron will talk to Faith while she’s tied up and gagged.
After Cameron suggests Faith could help him get through to Sharon, he’ll take the gag out to give her some water.
Cameron will trash Nick, so Faith will snap that he’s the best man she knows.
Nevertheless, Cameron will continue to act like Nick is the problem and will think he could be Faith’s new dad if Nick dies.
Faith will spit water in Cameron’s face and leave him furious when she calls him crazy.
Although Faith won’t see what Cameron hopes to gain from all this, Cameron will act like you have to work hard for your destiny.
After Faith calls Cameron a monster, he’ll warn her to shut up and will seem like he’s ready to strike her.
Suddenly, Cameron will hear a noise, declare that it’s showtime and bolt from the area.
Sharon will run to Faith’s side and untie her right before Nick joins them. When Cameron reappears, he’ll pull a sharp weapon and hold it against Sharon’s neck.
Cameron will know how this ends for him, but he’ll want to destroy Nick’s life before he goes.
With that in mind, Cameron will force Nick to decide who lives and who dies.
In other words, Nick can only save Faith or Sharon – and if he doesn’t decide, Cameron will vow to kill them both.
Cameron will urge Nick to look under Faith’s sweatshirt, so Nick will be horrified to find an explosive device strapped to her.
Since the detonator will be near Cameron’s foot, he’ll warn that he can either blow Faith to smithereens or slit Sharon’s throat.
Back at Sharon’s house, Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will find the place looking messy after the showdown earlier.
Once Victor fires a security guy for not keeping him informed, Nikki will draw his attention to the sewer system schematics.
Although Nikki will feel it’s too dangerous for Victor to get involved, he’ll insist he has to do this for his family and will dash off to help.
After Cameron starts a verbal countdown in the sewer, Chance will burst in and point a gun at him.
Sharon will ultimately grab the knife that’s taped to her leg and stab Cameron in the chest with it.
“How do I love thee…let me count the ways,” Cameron will say before keeling over next to the detonator that Sharon kicked away during the struggle.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some scary moments are still to come for Sharon due to the explosive device, so stay tuned for news on the whole ordeal.
