The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, May 12, teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will blast Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) for messing with Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) head and trying to get her to run. Tucker will act like he was just helping Diane face the facts since her chances of freedom are slim.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Harmony aka Yolanda Hamilton (Chene’ Lawson) will spend some time with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) and reflect on some good memories of when Devon was little.
Devon will double-check that Harmony’s OK with him legally changing his last name to Winters, so she’ll once again give her approval.
Harmony will also think Devon needs to get back in the studio since music’s in his blood and will seek Tucker’s support on the idea when he arrives.
However, Tucker will refuse to offer unsolicited opinions since he’s on fragile ground with Devon.
While Devon’s upstairs with Dominic, Tucker and Harmony will listen to him sing on the baby monitor with pride.
At Society, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) will wonder what’s keeping Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) since they’re running late.
Johnny will admit he hasn’t been gaming much with Connor, who’s seemingly been trying to avoid him.
Billy will mention that Connor’s getting a new little sister and will hint about the situation being complicated since Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is having Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) baby while dating Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
After Johnny jokes about trading Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) since she talks constantly, Connor will interrupt after arriving with Chelsea and wonder what Johnny wants to trade.
That’ll lead to more talk about Connor’s baby sister, so Connor will decide he doesn’t want pizza and will just want to go home.
After Billy gushes over how good ham and pineapple pizza is, Connor will once again snap that he wants nothing.
Billy will end up stepping outside with Connor as he tries to get him to open up.
Johnny will eventually come out and try to help, but Connor will feel like Johnny just wants to boss him around and will be sick of everyone’s questions.
Billy will get that Connor’s dealing with a lot, but he’ll encourage him to trust Chelsea with how he’s feeling and at least give her a hint.
Connor will reluctantly agree if it’ll get everyone to back off and will stomp back in the restaurant.
At the Abbott house on Friday’s Y&R episode, Jack will text Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) back that it’s fine to stop by since he’ll be home all day.
When Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) appears, he’ll mention that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) packed Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) up and left for parts unknown.
Kyle will guess that’s for the best since he’ll plan to do some digging and try to clear Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) name. Diane will be resting upstairs in the bedroom while Kyle and Jack discuss the case.
Meanwhile, Daniel will spot Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) at Crimson Lights and convince him to visit the Abbott house together.
Once Daniel gathers with Jack, Kyle and Michael, he’ll reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive.
Daniel will lie about being the one Phyllis reached out to and will suggest maybe his mom figured Summer would be too loyal to the Abbotts.
After Daniel claims he saw Phyllis in person, he’ll recap the whole story and take the heat of Summer by pretending he was the one at the center of it all.
Daniel will also insist on leaving Summer out of the loop for now.
Jack will rant about Phyllis faking her death after trashing Diane for doing the same thing, but Daniel will act like they all drove her to feel hopeless.
Daniel will put the blame on Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) for manipulating Phyllis into faking her demise and then refusing to let her call off the plan.
After Daniel points out that Phyllis had no choice but to defend herself, Michael and the others will realize Phyllis killed Stark.
Daniel will keep highlighting the fact that it was self-defense and will hope that his statement will be enough to clear both Diane and Phyllis.
Michael will warn that it’s not going to play out like Daniel wants and will warn that he could face charges for aiding and abetting as well as obstruction of justice.
Based on Daniel’s knowledge of how Stark was killed, he could even look like a murder suspect.
Kyle will realize that only Phyllis herself can clear things up since Daniel doesn’t have hard evidence that she showed back up and talked to him.
Michael will admit that if Phyllis is really alive, he’ll be happy about it.
That said, Michael is representing Diane, so it’d be a conflict of interest to try and fix things for Phyllis – that is if he could even spin her story.
Jack will suggest he could present some hypothetical theories to Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and see how she responds.
When Jack points out that they have to tell Diane, Michael will urge him to hold off on that.
Since they don’t know where Phyllis is or even if she’d come back once they found her, there’ll be too many variables.
Michael will insist they can’t tell anyone about this and will add that they have to take things one step at a time.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Daniel’s decision to spill Phyllis’ survival news will create some new issues, so stay tuned for updates on all the drama.
