The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, May 19, teases that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will ask Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) for a dance in the jazz lounge, so she’ll accept the offer despite her lingering doubts about him.
Tucker will try to charm Abby during their dance and help her see that he loves Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), but he’ll make the mistake of mentioning that he proposed to her mother.
That’ll send Abby back over to the bar, where she’ll demand to know if it’s true and will beg Ashley to tell her that she didn’t accept.
Ashley will downplay it as a fake proposal when she briefly considered stealing Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) thunder, but Tucker will insist his desire to marry Ashley is real.
After they decide to let Abby and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Kristoff St. John) enjoy the rest of their night alone, Tucker will ask Ashley what kind of proposal she would like when the time comes.
Ashley will only be willing to entertain the scenario as a hypothetical, but she’ll admit she wouldn’t want anything extravagant – though an intimate, meaningful surprise would be nice.
After Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) take their date night up to a GCAC suite, they’ll make love and discuss how they’ll make sure Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) grows up with a solid example of a loving relationship.
At the Abbott house on Friday’s Y&R Episode, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will show up looking for Jack and will find Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) instead.
After Chance mentions Jack’s DNA evidence, Summer will realize it could mean there’s definitive proof that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive.
Once Summer starts acting like she knows for certain that Phyllis survived, Chance will wonder what changed for her.
Summer will insist that she talked to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) again and realized this isn’t something he’d lie about.
After Chance brings up the tension between Daniel and Summer, he’ll suspect that they’ve known about Phyllis’ survival longer than they’ve let on.
All Summer’s hypothetical questions will make Chance wonder if she was working with Daniel to figure out what they should do about Phyllis’ situation.
Chance will suspect that Summer also saw Phyllis in person and that she’s been keeping that news from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Although Summer will try to deny it, Chance will push her to admit she was prepared to let Diane go down for a murder she didn’t commit.
In Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) office, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will get a text from Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) about which storage facility to send her stuff to.
Despite Nate’s regrets about hurting Elena, he’ll feel like their breakup was inevitable.
Nate will insist his mind is made up about moving forward with Victoria, so they’ll head to the GCAC for a drink before landing in a suite for lovemaking.
After Nate sees a text from Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) on his phone, he’ll ignore it and put all his attention back on Victoria in bed.
At Society, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will show up for takeout and bump into Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
That’ll lead to a discussion about Victoria since Nick will think she’s making a huge mistake by pursuing things with Nate.
Victor will act like Nick’s a hypocrite since he has a problem when people attack his own romance with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and will predict both dalliances will be over soon.
Nick will defend his relationship with Sally as solid, but he won’t think Victoria and Nate can build something based on respect.
At Crimson Lights, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will find Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) babysitting Aria, so he’ll admit he doesn’t know how to be a girl dad.
Sharon will act like babies are just babies and will think Adam can figure this out as he goes.
Sally will eavesdrop before joining the conversation and expressing confidence in Adam, who’ll end up stepping away for some fake texting to avoid her.
Sharon will sense that Adam and Sally need to talk, so she’ll claim to have something to do in the backroom and will ask if they’ll watch Aria for a minute.
Once Sally and Adam are alone with the baby, they’ll clear the air.
Sally will apologize for making things awkward by telling Adam to keep his distance, so Adam will acknowledge that he’s been thinking a lot about what she said.
Although Adam hasn’t let go of Sally and never will, he’ll know that he has to abandon any romantic fantasies and work through things like an adult.
Sally will seem like she appreciates Adam’s willingness to do that before Sharon rejoins them.
After Sally takes off, Adam will notice the Champagne bottle and will question who it’s from.
Sharon will admit she doesn’t know – though the name on the bottle’s label will seem familiar to her.
While Sharon gives Adam updates on the mysterious card, the stalker will continue to watch through the patio window.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon has some shockers in her future, so stay tuned!
