The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, October 13, reveals that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will find Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) sulking at Crimson Lights, so Sally will spill the story of Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) kiss and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) decision to break things off.
Chloe will feel like Sally just has to convince Nick that she loves him and only wants to be with him.
Although Chloe will try to steer Sally away from Adam, Sally will admit to unresolved feelings for her ex.
Chloe will push Sally to listen to her heart, but Sally will acknowledge the possibility that it might lead her in a direction Chloe disapproves of.
At Society, Adam will join Nick at the bar and mention how Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) called him “Nicholas” earlier.
Nick won’t think that’s a big deal and won’t be interested in having a brotherly conversation.
After Nick blasts Adam and acts like he’s doing him a favor by not punching him, he’ll warn Adam to stay away. Adam will still follow Nick to the park, where he’ll grab Nick’s arm and try to get him to talk.
Nick will nearly get physical as he snaps at Adam to get his hands off him.
Although Adam will apologize for kissing Sally and vow to keep his distance, Nick will call him a disgrace to the Newman family and stomp off.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will witness the end of that confrontation and assume it’s related to Newman Enterprises, but Adam will insist it was about a personal matter.
Victoria will surprise Adam by offering an apology since she jumped to conclusions.
The siblings will also find common ground over their Victor concerns since Adam will share how their dad called him “Nicholas” and then denied even doing it.
Later, Victoria will meet with Nick to discuss Adam’s updates on the “Nicholas” slipup. Nick still won’t think it’s a problem and will act like Victoria needs to accept her demotion.
However, Victoria will insist she’s genuinely worried about Victor, who’s getting older and has had several major medical issues in the past few years.
After Victoria says Victor is in crisis, she’ll warn that it could get worse and wonder if Nick can live with himself if that happens.
Back at the coffeehouse, Adam will interrupt Sally and Chloe’s discussion before Chloe urges him to back off while they wrap things up.
Chloe will keep trying to steer Sally back to Nick and will believe Adam is simply part of her past.
Sally will head for the door as Adam tries to get her to go somewhere and talk, but she’ll insist those days are over and exit.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will question Adam afterward, so he’ll admit he suspects Sally and Nick are finished.
When Adam declares that Sally belongs with him, Sharon will marvel over him not caring about who he hurts.
In the park on Friday’s Y&R episode, Sally will leave Nick a voicemail and insist this can’t be the end for them.
In Victor’s office, he’ll claim he was playing a joke on Adam with his “Nicholas” comment and will hint to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about everyone thinking they can outmaneuver him.
Victor will feel like Victoria is pretending to accept her demotion while Adam’s pretending he’s fine with being Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) assistant.
It’ll be clear that Victor doesn’t trust either one of them.
Victor will hint that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) might be loyal, but he’ll acknowledge Nikki’s concerns since Nate was willing to betray his own family at Chancellor-Winters.
Nikki will suggest Victor could get Nick to come back if he fires Nate and Adam, but Victor will plan to keep an eye on them along with Victoria.
Victor will feel like someone’s working to stab him in the back, so he’ll want Nikki to trust his suspicions.
Nikki will think Victor seems paranoid, but he’ll contend that his instincts haven’t proven wrong and will refuse to let anyone take over his empire as long as he lives.
When Nikki returns to Newman Media, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will accidentally startle her.
Nikki will thank Claire for the tea she brought and will hint about some Newman family issues, so Claire will point out that she’s a good listener.
Although Nikki won’t go into the details, she’ll seem grateful to Claire for her kindness.
Once Victor finds Nick taking his rage out on a punching bag, he’ll push his son to talk to him.
Back in Victor’s office, Victoria will sit in the CEO chair and gaze at her father’s portrait.
After Victoria picks up a framed photo of herself with Victor, she’ll smash it on the floor before flipping off the lights and leaving.
