The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, October 27, reveals that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will admit she’s both furious and relieved over Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) faking his diminished mental capacity.
Since Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was the only one Victor trusted with the truth besides Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), that’ll be another tough blow for Victoria.
However, Nick will act like Victor’s going to do this kind of thing regardless and will suggest they should play along with his plan to trap Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Victoria will decide she’s on board with duping Adam and trying to get rid of him for good, but she won’t know if she can forgive Victor’s treatment of her.
When Nikki joins the conversation, she’ll be glad Victoria knows the truth. Victoria will be upset with Nikki for keeping her out of the loop, but she’ll acknowledge that her mom was in a difficult position.
Nick and Victoria will also fill Nikki in on their decision to play along with Victor’s manipulation so that they can hopefully escort Adam into the trap.
At the ranch, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will point out that Victor’s phone call sounded ominous. Since Victor said Nate might be the only one he can trust, Nate will seem concerned.
Victor will act like he’s just now remembering that he said that and will push for answers about Victoria’s agenda.
Nate will defend Victoria’s concerns as normal for a daughter and will deny that she’s plotting anything.
After Victor swears Nate to secrecy, he’ll claim he fears there are reasons to worry about his mental state.
Victor will confess that he feels like his memory is slipping and will pretend he’s especially concerned about forgetting his grandbaby was deceased.
Nate will urge Victor not to jump to the worst-case scenario and will suggest he can reach out to some brilliant medical contacts for some testing.
Victor will insist he appreciates Nate’s help and will remind him that this must be kept between the two of them – or else!
After Victor hints that Adam can already smell blood in the water, he’ll push Nate to keep this conversation a secret from Victoria, too.
At the jazz lounge, Adam will meet with Dr. Skelton (Stefan Marks) and explain all the signs of dementia that Victor’s seemingly been exhibiting.
Dr. Skelton will point out that there could be other treatable explanations for Victor’s symptoms, but he’ll definitely think this seems serious and will want to look into helping Victor right away.
However, Dr. Skelton won’t be able to do anything without properly evaluating Victor – and Adam will point out that it’ll be a challenge to convince him to undergo testing.
In Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) suite, she’ll dream that Adam and Nick are brawling over her before they demand her choice.
Sally won’t be able to choose between them in her nightmare and will mull over fond memories with both brothers once she awakens.
Downstairs, Sally will spot Adam wrapping up his meeting with Dr. Skelton and ultimately bolt back up to her suite.
Although Sally will act like she changed her mind and needs sleep more than a drink, Adam will follow her and try to get to the bottom of why she’s so uncomfortable.
That’ll lead to Sally noticing that Adam seems troubled and questioning him about his meeting with Dr. Skelton.
The close moment will end with Adam and Sally sharing a kiss before they tumble back into the bedroom, where they’ll confirm they don’t want to stop.
After Sally and Adam strip down, they’ll make love and end Friday’s Y&R episode on a passionate note.
