The Young and the Restless Recap: Friday, September 29 – Billy’s Blackmail, Tucker’s Smokescreen & Jack’s Job for Phyllis

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, September 29, reveals that Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will mention that he’s got some business in Genoa City and will add that he wanted to come check on Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) during his time off from his tour.

Danny will also bring up the fact that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) seemingly faced a grim fate the last time they were in the jazz lounge together, so he’ll acknowledge his anger and face her plea for forgiveness.

After Daniel shows up and updates Danny on the job offer he extended to Phyllis, she’ll admit she hasn’t made a decision yet.

Danny will encourage Phyllis to take it and act like it could be her chance to prove she’s changed.

Daniel will admit he doesn’t fully trust Phyllis and that he’s wary of giving her a high-profile position.

Phyllis will understand the hesitation and will lie to Daniel along with Danny about Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) investigators finding the money Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) transferred to an offshore account.

Once Phyllis says everything’s squared away with the insurance company, she’ll decide to take whatever position Daniel’s offering if the job doesn’t pan out with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).

Although Danny will be skeptical about Phyllis turning over a new leaf, he’ll assure her that he’ll be proud if she does.

At Jabot, Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will announce that she’s leaving for a meeting, so Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will speak to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) alone.

Billy will feel confident that his name will be attached to the latest account that the financial team red-flagged and will insist this is part of Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) embezzlement setup with Phyllis.

Jack will wonder why Tucker’s targeting Billy specifically, but Billy will act like Tucker’s trying to divide them and will eventually come after everyone.

Billy will ask if there’s part of Jack that questions whether he might’ve embezzled from the company, but Jack will deny that.

Jack will also finally check his email and see that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has sent “the motherload,” so he’ll fill Billy in on the cover-up of a cover-up involving Tucker and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) at McCall Unlimited.

Billy will want to be the one to look Tucker in the eye and let him know they’ve got the upper hand, so Jack will send him off to do that and will plan to confront Phyllis himself.

At Crimson Lights, Audra will cross paths with Tucker, so she’ll tell him about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) trying to warn her away from him.

After Audra admits she told Nikki that she didn’t appreciate her controlling her personal life, talk will turn to Tucker’s Jabot takeover.

Tucker will explain that the Billy setup is just a smokescreen to distract the Abbotts from something that they’ll never see coming. There’ll be talk about some blind items that Audra has noticed in the news as well.

Audra will quiz Tucker about his vindictive motives and suspect that if Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) would take him back, then he’d call off his devious plans for Jabot.

However, Tucker will make it clear that he can’t trust Ashley anymore and will vow that nothing will stop him from dismantling the Abbotts.

Audra will play therapist a bit as she dissects Tucker’s relationship with Ashley. Although Audra will think Ashley genuinely fell back in love with Tucker, she’ll hint about never finding the same kind of love.

Although Audra thought she was in love once upon a time, that wasn’t really the case.

At the GCAC, Billy will have a drink and flash back to various arguments he’s had with Jack lately. Diane will join Billy after her meeting and push him to admit he still doesn’t trust her.

Billy will contend that he’s giving Diane the benefit of the doubt, but she’ll continue to push his buttons and ask how close he came to double-crossing them with Tucker and Ashley.

After Billy insists he’s not after Jack’s job, he’ll hope he can trust that Diane isn’t after his job either.

Back at the jazz lounge on Friday’s Y&R episode, Jack will interrupt Phyllis’ chat with Danny and Daniel. Once Jack asks to speak with Phyllis alone, he’ll confront her about her latest scheme with Tucker.

Phyllis will play dumb and deny any involvement, but Jack will know she’s lying.

As Diane appears nearby, Phyllis will cast some blame her way when it comes to all the drama with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

Since Phyllis won’t tell the truth, Jack will urge her to at least help them by hacking Tucker’s system and finding out what his bottom line is. Maybe then Jack will believe Phyllis is sincere about her desire to make amends.

In the GCAC dining area, Daniel will grab a table with Danny, who’ll seem disappointed to learn that Christine Blair-Williams (Lauralee Bell) is in Lisbon trying to work things out with Paul Williams (Doug Davidson).

In Tucker’s suite again, Billy will arrive and call him out on the fake embezzlement.

After Billy recaps the scandal involving the music artist and underage girls, he’ll insist he’s got the emails that prove the cover-up of the cover-up.

Billy will also vow to use the evidence to crush Tucker if he doesn’t back off!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’s much more drama to come between Tucker and the Abbotts, so stay tuned.
