The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, April 10 – Summer’s Wild Jeremy & Diane Theory – Daniel Vows Stark’s Takedown

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, April 10, teases that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will snap at the florist over the phone and continue running down the list of arrangements for Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) memorial service.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will once again offer to help, but Summer will push him to stop trying since it only makes her exert more energy fighting over it.

Although Kyle will just want to make life easier for Summer right now, she’ll insist she has to handle the memorial herself.

Summer will consider this a way to make things up to Phyllis and give her the service she deserves.

After Summer rants about Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), she’ll talk about Phyllis’ death being malicious.

Kyle will realize Summer suspects Phyllis was murdered and will think it’s time to bring a professional into the conversation.

Kyle will suggest maybe Summer could talk to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about her grief, but Summer will refuse to get brainwashed into thinking what happened to Phyllis was a series of coincidences.

Since Kyle will continue to defend Diane, Summer will ultimately stomp off to make more arrangements alone.

After Sharon talks to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about Phyllis’ demise and reflects on losing Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), she’ll join Kyle on the coffeehouse patio.

Kyle will be upset over Summer shutting him out, but Sharon will feel like things will get better with time and will insist “Skyle” can get through this together.

At the GCAC, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will find Diane and wonder if she was able to cry a single fake tear for Phyllis.

However, Diane will make it clear that she didn’t want Phyllis dead and that she feels for those who loved her.

At the Abbott house, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will berate Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for bringing Diane into the company and now trying to bring her into the family.

Ashley won’t think Phyllis’ fate was a coincidence and will worry that Jack’s going to face the same consequences if he remains involved with Diane.

Jack will act like Phyllis stressed herself out by fixating on revenge instead of appreciating her children and the good things in her life.

It’ll frustrate Jack to see Ashley doubling down on her Diane rage and acting like she has to get back to work against her.

Although Jack will push Ashley to give it a rest, she’ll feel like she has to keep fighting for Jack since he refuses to open his eyes.

As Ashley heads out, Billy will arrive and mention that there’s gossip out there about Diane having a hand in Phyllis’ death.

Jack will act like these rumblings are coming from people like Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), who married a woman he barely knew and had an ax to grind.

Billy will admit he doesn’t believe the accusations, but Jack will still be offended over him bringing this up.

In the end, Jack will declare that he’s going to marry Diane and protect her from whatever Stark has planned.

Back with Ashley, she’ll meet up with Tucker in a GCAC suite and complain about Jack.

Ashley will suggest there’s no point in a fake engagement to outshine Jack and Diane’s since everyone’s talking about Phyllis’ death now.

Tucker will think that’s too bad since he assumed their fake engagement would lead to a genuine love and a real marriage.

Ashley will seem moved as Tucker describes how they would’ve lived together and spent more time with each other to sell the faux engagement story.

Tucker will add that Ashley would’ve let her guard down and realized this game she was playing was only with herself.

After Tucker insists Ashley would’ve let herself have what she really wanted, she’ll admit she’s not there yet and will push Tucker to do more work on himself.

At Crimson Lights again, Diane will catch up with Kyle and apologize if she’s contributing to any of the drama in his marriage.

Kyle will acknowledge that Summer’s having a rough time, but he’ll assure Diane that he believes in her along with Jack.

Back at the athletic club, Summer will talk to Daniel about making all the memorial arrangements on her own.

Daniel will feel like he should’ve been included, but Summer will admit it was too hard to talk about it.

Once Daniel decides he wouldn’t have been much help in his current state anyway, he’ll show Summer a picture he drew in memory of their mother.

Summer will mention that she’d been looking for a photo of Phyllis, but she’ll think this is even better and will want to use it for the programs.

Daniel will feel like Summer can take care of the memorial while he takes care of what comes after, so she’ll ask what he means.

That’ll lead to Daniel mentioning Jeremy getting the brutal takedown he deserves.

Summer will be relieved to know she’s not the only one who feels like something’s off.

Daniel will think the whole thing is suspicious and will insist that “smarmy son of a bitch” had something to do with Phyllis’ death, so he’ll vow to find out what it is.

If the marriage license is confirmed to be real, Daniel will suggest it’s obvious that Stark married Phyllis for the money and killed her.

Summer will argue that there has to be a Diane connection and will throw out some ideas of how she might fit in the narrative.

After Summer explains how Diane threatened to kill Phyllis at the gala, she’ll point out that Phyllis was dead a few hours later.

Summer will think maybe Stark tricked Phyllis into thinking he’d protect her in exchange for money.

Summer will speculate that Jeremy got rid of Phyllis for Diane, who then betrayed him by sticking with Jack and her engagement announcement.

Daniel will realize Summer means that Stark double-crossed Phyllis – and then Diane double-crossed Stark, who wants revenge.

Although Summer will know that’s a lot to take in, she’ll think it’s reasonable considering the snakes they’re dealing with.

Summer will feel like Diane wanted to take over Phyllis’ life and will vow to find answers.

“The truth is going to come out,” Summer will declare on Monday’s Y&R episode.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will do whatever it takes to get updates on the real story, so that could mean bad news for Phyllis!
