The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, August 7 – Tucker Blasts Audra – Christine’s Prosecutorial Misconduct

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, August 7, reveals that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will run into Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) in the park, so he’ll offer updates on the plea deal Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) is offering Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

Daniel will think Phyllis should take it since it’d keep Summer out of prison, but Summer will push her brother to back off and hope to stop Phyllis instead.

At Society, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will basically warn that Phyllis needs to be on her best behavior if she beats the charges and indeed joins the team with Sharon, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Adam will think it’s healthy to get all this out in the open now and address concerns, but he’ll also think they should focus on what they’re building together.

Meanwhile, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will return home from her trip a bit early, so she’ll immediately seek out Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) for lovemaking.

Nate will give Victoria news about his lunch with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and how he admitted he’d like to run Newman Enterprises alongside Victoria in a perfect world.

Nate will also confess that although he told Nikki the relationship wasn’t serious yet, he also feels there was the potential for that to happen.

Victoria won’t be sure she can ever do a serious relationship again after all her failures, but Nate will insist he’s not pressuring her into anything.

Nate and Victoria will be on the same page about liking where things stand between them, so they’ll continue to canoodle under the sheets.

In Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) suite, she’ll open the door to a furious Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), who’ll wonder if she’s this incompetent or if she screwed him over on purpose.

Audra will be confused, so Tucker will bring her up to speed on Adam’s leverage and the email he found that linked him to the recording artist cover-up.

After Tucker puts Audra on full blast, he’ll warn that she’ll have to be the one to fix this.

Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Audra will pay Adam a visit and insist it’s in everyone’s best interest to keep this scandal buried.

Once Audra asks what Adam wants, he’ll think it’s obvious and confirm it’s Newman Media.

Audra will argue that it’s not hers to give, but Adam will expect her to use all her skills and convince Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that making Newman Media part the new merger is a good idea.

Back with Tucker, he’ll be sitting in Phyllis’ suite when she returns.

Tucker will commend Phyllis and Adam for truly getting the best of him before proposing a deal.

If Adam can prove he got rid of the evidence and has no plans to go after more, Tucker will vow to give Phyllis what she needs to be exonerated.

Phyllis can have Carson (Walter Belenky), but Tucker will warn that she’ll have to pay him on her own since he’s not spending another dime on this.

As for Phyllis’ role in helping go after Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), Tucker will suggest she’s off the hook since Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) felt she would’ve let them down anyway.

When Summer shows up, she’ll be suspicious of Tucker as he exits.

Summer will privately warn against taking the plea deal, but Phyllis will contemplate it if it’s legit since she’d do anything for Summer.

However, Summer will think that’s what Christine is counting on, so she won’t want Phyllis to go along with it.

Since Phyllis is still keeping secrets about Carson and Tucker, Summer will sense that and push her to finally just be honest about everything.

At Society, Daniel will tell Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) about Christine’s plea deal for Phyllis and stress how important it is to protect Summer.

Heather will argue that Summer doesn’t want to be protected and will focus on helping her client since this is a bad deal.

Later, Heather will meet with Christine privately to scold her for coercion.

Christine will try to act like Phyllis was the one intimidating her and pushing to keep Summer out of trouble.

Nevertheless, Heather will contend that Christine’s behavior is bordering on prosecutorial misconduct.

When Christine realizes she’s serious, Heather will announce that she’s going to the judge with a motion to have Christine removed from the case.

Back at the GCAC, Nate and Victoria will find Tucker at the bar.

That’ll lead to Tucker dropping hints about Audra not being able to handle herself against Adam’s power plays, but Victoria and Nate won’t seem concerned.

At Crimson Lights, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will be there with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) as she reveals her decision.

Mariah will plan to leave Jabot and work for Sharon, who’ll be thrilled to welcome her daughter aboard.

Although Sharon is really throwing herself into this business venture, Mariah and Tessa will suggest she should make time for her new romance with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).

That’ll leave Sharon smiling over how things are going in that department.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer could get in the way of Sharon and Chance’s blooming love eventually, so stay tuned.
