The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, July 10 – Diane & Phyllis’ Showdown Ends in a Twist – Tucker’s Carson Intel

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, July 10, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will bump into Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) at the athletic club, so they’ll catch up before Daniel turns his attention to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Lily will talk about celebrating the new numbers for Omega Sphere before Daniel reveals her birthday gift, which will be Queen Liliana’s universe on the gaming platform.

At Jabot, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will want to talk to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about the changes happening at Marchetti, but he’ll act like he’s too busy dealing with the drama Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) has created.

Summer will think Billy can at least spare her five minutes, so she’ll quiz him about whether Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is going to take the creative director position.

Billy will have his doubts and push Summer to fly back to Italy to search for her replacement.

It’ll leave Summer feeling like Billy is trying to cast her aside now that she’s not family, but he’ll insist that’s not the case.

Summer will acknowledge that she screwed up with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but Billy will think she can turn things around.

After Summer leaves, Billy will talk to Jack about pushing up the release date for the teen fragrance line and scoring bigger names for marketing.

Whatever Ashley has planned, Billy will think they just have to make sure they do it better.

At the Abbott house, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will find Ashley and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) kissing on the sofa, so she’ll tell them to get a room and will end up bickering with them again.

Once Diane arrives at Jabot later, she’ll tell Jack and Billy that she took the liberty of issuing some directives to HR and legal.

Diane will insist they need to make sure everyone signs nondisclosure and noncompete agreements.

The goal will be ensuring that Jabot’s employees don’t jump ship and join Ashley’s team. Although Jack will be frustrated over Ashley’s betrayal and how personal she’s making their feud, Diane’s optimism will put a smile on his face.

Jack will wish they could just run away to some private island, but Diane will be content with all the Jabot excitement and will look forward to being his wife.

Back at the Abbott house, Ashley will act like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is the one person who could drive Diane to her breaking point and will note that she can’t stay away forever.

However, Tucker will contend that even if Phyllis does return, she’ll be busy fighting charges and won’t have time to rid Genoa City of Diane.

That said, it’ll seem like the wheels are turning a bit for Tucker, who’ll playfully scold Ashley for making him late before he takes off.

In the park, Phyllis will have dark clothes and a short wig on when she meets with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).

After Phyllis hints about being ready to accept help now, Michael will get her to recap the whole story of her fake demise and what happened with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

Phyllis will want to sit alone for a while, but she’ll vow to get in touch with Michael once she’s prepared to come forward without her disguise.

As Phyllis sits on a bench by herself, she’ll imagine Diane showing up and berating her.

Diane will threaten to call the cops and will act like Phyllis has lost everything in this daydream, so Phyllis will seem down once she snaps out of it.

On her phone, Phyllis will type out a message about how she’s been defeated and Diane has won, but she’ll ultimately realize this isn’t who she is.

After Phyllis says “hell no” on letting Diane win, she’ll delete the message and plan to come out of hiding. Phyllis will declare that it’s time to finish what she started before dashing off.

Back at the GCAC, Summer will join Daniel since Michael will want to meet with them.

That’ll lead to Summer blasting Daniel over how things went down with Phyllis, so she’ll insist her brother wasn’t there for her and never is.

Daniel will seem concerned about Summer spinning out, but Summer will think it’s no wonder since she risked all for Phyllis and is this close to losing everything she ever wanted.

When Michael arrives for the meeting on Monday’s Y&R episode, he’ll admit he thinks Phyllis may be ready for her comeback. The news that Phyllis may turn herself in will catch Daniel and Summer off guard.

Although there’s no formal deal in place, Michael will note that Phyllis feels guilty for the state of Summer’s marriage and wants to help.

Michael will hope to prove that Stark coerced Phyllis into aiding his revenge on Diane and plotted to get his hands on Phyllis’ fortune, but he’ll need EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) to back everything up.

After Michael says Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) team hasn’t been able to locate Carson yet, Summer will insist they can’t give up on coming through for Phyllis.

No one is untouchable, so Summer will argue that they have to find Carson somehow as Tucker eavesdrops nearby.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tucker’s about to take some sneaky steps to get what he wants, so stay tuned for updates on his grand plan.
