The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, July 24, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will give Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) updates following his trip to New York.
Thanks to some legal loopholes, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be able to take her assets and patents if she can show cause.
After Jack reveals that Ashley plans to use Diane’s past to build a case, Billy will think Diane should step down.
Although Diane will want to consider the idea, Jack will refuse to budge.
At the Chancellor mansion, Ashley and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will visit Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) with some housewarming gifts.
That’ll give Tucker and Ashley a chance to share that they’re getting married in a couple weeks, so they’ll hope for Abby and Devon’s approval.
Abby will admit that’s kind of fast and will worry about Ashley getting hurt again, but Tucker will provide reassurance.
In the end, Devon and Abby will indeed offer their blessing, but Abby will insist there’s one condition.
Abby will want to throw the wedding there at the house, so Tucker and Ashley will accept her generous offer.
Once Devon is alone with Abby, she’ll talk about how Ashley genuinely seems to love and trust Tucker.
Devon will hope Ashley’s right and will support Abby’s suggestion to have the nuptials at the Chancellor mansion.
As Devon cuddles with Abby on the sofa, he’ll point out that they’ve never talked about marriage before.
Devon will think maybe they should discuss it, so Abby will admit she loves that idea as she leans in for a kiss.
At the athletic club, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will tell Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) that Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) refused to drop the charges.
Phyllis will hint that EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) should be in protective custody so that no one can get ahold of him and make him recant.
Heather will realize there’s more to the story, so she’ll demand a confession or else Phyllis will have to find another attorney.
Once Phyllis admits Tucker is pulling the strings with Carson, Heather will seek confirmation that Carson’s eyewitness account is true.
Phyllis will lie that it is and insist that Carson saw what happened through a window before running off.
After Phyllis reveals that Tucker wants her help getting Diane out of Jabot, she’ll insist he can’t be trusted.
Heather will think they have to fast-track the trial and try to deactivate Tucker’s threat.
If Phyllis gets a chance to make things right, she’ll declare that big changes are coming.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will overhear part of the conversation and will wish Phyllis luck before heading to the bar.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Tucker will spy as Heather tells Phyllis that her instincts are right about Tucker and the Carson issue.
Once Heather says they have to act fast, she’ll vow to be in touch and will head out the door. Tucker will also secretly race out like a man on a mission.
After Billy rejoins Phyllis at her table, he’ll admit he’s impressed with how Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) has handled everything she’s been up against.
Billy will feel like Phyllis should be proud of Summer and will warn against breaking her spirit.
If anyone can pull herself out of the inferno, Billy will think it’s Phyllis!
Suddenly, Heather will rush back in and ask to speak with Phyllis privately. Once they’re alone, Heather will shock Phyllis by revealing that it seems Carson has disappeared.
At the Abbott house, Jack and Diane will think the whole Carson situation is hard to buy, but they’ll acknowledge that Phyllis might actually beat the charges.
After Diane talks about her encounter with Phyllis at Society, she’ll doubt Phyllis’ remorse was sincere.
However, Diane will admit she almost doesn’t care if Phyllis gets off the hook considering all the other Ashley drama they’re dealing with.
Jack will argue that he cares and will add that there are some things you just can’t walk back.
Although Diane will feel terrible about Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) marriage mess, Jack will maintain that it’s not her fault.
Once Ashley comes home and clashes with Jack again, Diane will decide she’s walking away from Jabot.
That’ll resolve Ashley’s issue – unless maybe there’s another reason why Ashley and Tucker are making this move. Diane will wonder if maybe she’s just a convenient excuse.
Regardless, Jack will refuse to surrender and will decide he’ll just let Ashley take her part of the company.
Ashley will be disgusted over that sacrifice, but Jack will contend that he’d give up a lot more for the woman he loves.
When Tucker returns and asks what’s going on, Ashley will point out that Jack is caving.
Diane will pipe up that she won’t let Jack throw it all away for her, so she’ll stand her ground and reiterate that she’s out.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some surprises are still to come as Jack and Ashley face off, so stay tuned for news on the family chaos.
