The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, June 12, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will remain furious with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) for setting him up. In the jail visiting area, Nick will push Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to get him out of there so he can offer protection against whatever Cameron is plotting.
Michael will point out that he’s going to look out for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) along with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) security team.
Since Nick’s arraignment won’t be until later in the day, Michael will think his client should use this chance to cool off.
At the GCAC, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will discuss how their time in the bedroom made them more productive at work.
When Victoria gets updates on Nick’s arrest, she’ll fill Nate in and head back to the office with him.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria will complain to Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about the bad publicity and other problems that Nick’s arrest could bring.
Although Victoria will want Nick to take a leave of absence, Nikki will think it’ll only create more questions if they take a step that formal.
Victor will insist Nick can take personal time off and will add that it’s no one’s business what he’s doing with it.
After Nate finds out about this leave of absence idea, he’ll meet with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and share the news with her.
Nate will feel like Victoria could slide him in Nick’s spot – and even if it’s temporary, it’ll give him an opportunity to show what he can do.
Audra will think this could bring them one step closer to their goals, including her desire to run Newman Media.
When Victor arrives at Society, he’ll seem suspicious as he stares at Nate and Audra clinking glasses at the bar.
At Crimson Lights, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will push Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) to go along with her fake witness plan and will suggest EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) could be paid to back up Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) self-defense story.
Daniel will point out that Carson is already facing other charges for helping Phyllis and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), so he’s probably long gone – not to mention he wouldn’t be a very credible witness.
Summer will still think her plan could work, but she’ll snap that she doesn’t need Daniel’s help if he’s going to be so negative.
Even so, Daniel will worry about Summer creating a bigger mess and getting herself arrested.
Once Daniel leaves, Phyllis will get on a video chat with Summer and voice similar concerns about her daughter’s search for Carson.
After Phyllis pushes Summer to drop it, she’ll vow to handle this herself and will want Summer to just focus on repairing her marriage.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis will get Daniel on a video call, so he’ll take it as he walks in the athletic club.
After confirming that Summer doesn’t know where she is, Phyllis won’t want Daniel to know either.
From now on, Phyllis will feel like she has to fly solo on getting out of trouble.
Since Summer is all wound up and could make some bad decisions, Phyllis will push Daniel to protect her.
Daniel will end up visiting the Abbott house, where he’ll hope Kyle can get through to Summer and stop her from making more mistakes.
Although Kyle will still love Summer, he won’t think his wife’s going to listen to him any more than she’ll listen to Daniel.
At Sharon’s place, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will be upset over Nick’s arrest and will argue that she never would’ve agreed to leave if she’d known Sharon would be all alone.
Chance will insist he’s going to be there to protect Sharon, so Faith will leave for the airport with a plainclothes officer in an unmarked car.
Sharon will also get Faith to promise that she’ll text from her seat once she’s on the plane.
As for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), he’ll check in with Sharon and suggest filing a restraining order against Cameron so that he’ll land in jail if he violates it.
Later, Sharon will grow concerned when Faith doesn’t text like she promised she would.
After Sharon tries Faith’s phone and gets her voicemail, Chance will call the officer who was supposed to take her to the airport and will get his voicemail, too.
Once Chance calls to find out if Faith made her flight, he’ll tell Sharon that it took off without Faith onboard.
Sharon will cry out in despair since she’ll assume that means Cameron went after her daughter.
After Summer calls Michael and asks if they can meet, he’ll reveal that he has some time before Nick’s arraignment.
Summer will flip out over Nick landing behind bars, but Michael will downplay the incident.
At Society again, Summer will need Michael’s help with her EMT Carson plan, but Michael will refuse to help her commit crimes and won’t encourage her to commit them herself either.
Michael won’t support the idea of paying Carson to be a fake witness and claim he saw Phyllis kill Stark in self-defense.
Nevertheless, Michael will think Carson could corroborate Phyllis’ story in more legal ways, but he’ll think they may need to call in the big guns to find him.
That’ll lead to Summer begging Victor for help tracking Carson down.
Victor won’t see why he should lift a finger to help Phyllis considering how much she hurt his granddaughter, but Summer will give him a stare like a sad puppy and get him to cave in.
Back at Newman Enterprises, Nikki will question if Victoria’s push for Nick’s leave of absence is about Nate taking his place.
Victoria will deny trying to push her brother out of the company, but she’ll admit she’d consider giving Nate the COO spot if Nick permanently resigned.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria and Nate’s partnership will lead to more drama, so stay tuned.
