The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, March 20 – Diane Busts Phyllis Stealing Engagement Ring

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, March 20, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will give Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) updates on his engagement to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), so she’ll express how happy she is for him.

At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will plan to meet Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) up in his room, but he’ll appear in the lobby after his workout.

That’ll leave Phyllis on edge since she just made a huge show about being against Jeremy, so she won’t want to be seen together.

Unfortunately, Diane will walk in moments later and assume that everything out of Phyllis’ mouth has been a big fat lie.

Phyllis will pretend she was shocked to run into Jeremy, who’ll claim he was on the jet to leave town when he forgot his lucky socks.

Diane will rant about Jeremy and Phyllis being a “match made in hell” before hurling accusations.

Once Diane calls Phyllis out on luring her back to town and using her own daughter in her scheme, she’ll ask how low Phyllis will go.

Phyllis will hint about the people who don’t believe Diane has changed and still want her to pay, but she’ll deny being one of those people and will continue to play dumb about Jeremy.

After Jack’s name comes up, Diane will think Phyllis is obsessed with the fact that she reunited with him.

Diane will also suggest that there’ll be some news pretty soon – and it’ll let Phyllis and Jeremy know their hatefulness won’t win.

At the Abbott house, Diane will return all riled up, so Jack will wonder what happened.

Once Diane says she just ran into Jeremy and Phyllis looking thick as thieves, she’ll point out that Jeremy never even left town.

Jack will realize Phyllis lied about everything and used Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) as well as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as part of her plan.

It’ll leave Jack feeling like Phyllis has really passed the point of no return.

Diane will worry about what Phyllis and Jeremy have in store, but Jack will insist they’ll handle it together as husband and wife soon.

Back with Phyllis, she’ll go up to Jeremy’s suite with him and wonder what news Diane was hinting at.

Jeremy will push Phyllis to stay focused on their plot, so she’ll assure him that she’s all in.

After Jeremy says they could light the world on fire together, he’ll insist he could see a lot of opportunities with Phyllis.

Jeremy will pull Phyllis close like he wants things to take a passionate turn, but she’ll pump the brakes.

Phyllis will note that she’s waited a really long time for Diane’s takedown, so she’ll refuse to get distracted by a handsome, strong-shouldered ex-con.

At Crimson Lights, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will give Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) a pep talk ahead of the arbitration hearing and urge her not to second-guess herself.

Daniel will put all the blame on Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and will think the judge is going to see it Lily’s way.

At Devon’s place, he’ll admit he doesn’t think it’s a good idea for Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) to attend the arbitration hearing.

Abby will wonder if this is about Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), but Devon will insist that’s only part of it.

After Devon pushes Abby to just have fun with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) today, she’ll agree to stay there with their son.

Although Abby will worry about Amanda and Lily trying to provoke Devon, he’ll reassure her and act like coming home to her is the most important thing.

Devon will reflect on a time when he talked to Abby about love and how it means you catch a person when they fall.

After Devon leaves, Abby will have a flashback from several years ago and will recall that conversation.

At Society, Traci will meet with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to go over some last-minute bicentennial gala preparations.

Since it’s going to be a masquerade ball, Traci will hint about this magical evening being what everyone needs in light of recent events.

Nikki will ask if Traci is talking about Jeremy and will point out that it was strictly Phyllis’ idea to bring him to Genoa City.

Once Traci leaves, Jeremy will pop up at Nikki’s table and push her buttons.

Nikki will think Jeremy has a lot of gall to show his face since he was arrested for breaking in and stealing her necklace.

After Jeremy says he was framed, he’ll think Nikki is smart enough to know that.

Nikki will also think Jeremy is smart enough to leave town and not give Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) another excuse to ruin Jeremy’s already pathetic life.

That’ll leave Jeremy marveling over how quickly Nikki has turned on him.

Jeremy will wonder if maybe Nikki believes Diane is the kind of woman who’ll eventually get what’s coming to her.

Back at the Abbott house, Traci will be surprised when Phyllis shows up at the door. Phyllis will lie that she’s supposed to meet Summer, who’s running late.

Traci will have to get to some meetings and will point out that Jack, Diane and Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) are all upstairs.

Since Traci will assume Diane and Jack will be down in a minute, she’ll let Phyllis in and will jokingly suggest Phyllis should promise not to steal anything.

Once Traci is gone on Monday’s Y&R episode, Phyllis will snoop in Diane’s purse and find the engagement ring Jack gave her.

Suddenly, Diane will appear and demand to know “what the hell” Phyllis is doing, so Phyllis will hide the ring box behind her back.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will keep pushing for answers, so Phyllis will have to find a way out of this tight spot!
