The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, October 16 – Victor’s Baby Blunder Troubles Nick – Claire & Nate’s Collision

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, October 16, reveals that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will have drinks with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) at Society, where they’ll talk about her moving back to Genoa City with Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant).

Since Daniel has been house-hunting, Heather will ask him to keep an eye out for a rental for her, too.

When Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) walks in and overhears that part of the conversation, she’ll realize Heather and Lucy are coming home to GC for good.

Daniel will act like he just didn’t want to tell Lily until it was official.

Heather will also hope to maybe score a job on the legal counsel team at Chancellor-Winters, so Lily will vow to look into it – though she won’t seem very enthused about the idea.

As Heather gets up to leave, she’ll be excited about being a family again with Daniel and Lucy.

Daniel will insist they’ll always be a family, but Heather will still think it’ll be nice for them to all live in the same city.

Once Heather’s gone, Lily will wonder if Heather’s news was why Daniel was acting off earlier.

Although Lily will claim she knows Daniel and Heather aren’t getting back together, she’ll still worry about Heather’s return stirring up old patterns or guilt and regret.

Daniel will insist he’s in a much better headspace these days thanks to Lily and will reassure her about his romance with Heather being in the past.

At home later, Lily will check out a gift basket that Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) sent over and decide to let Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) be the one to worry about her agenda.

There’ll be more Heather talk, but Daniel will flirt and get all lovey-dovey to convince Lily that he’s moved on.

In Heather’s suite at the GCAC, she’ll happily gaze at a family photo of herself with Daniel and Lucy.

At Newman Media, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will introduce Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), who’ll fangirl over all Victoria’s accomplishments.

Victoria won’t have much to say since she’ll clearly be distracted by something, so Nikki will privately ask what’s got her so rattled.

That’ll lead to Victoria mentioning Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) “Nicholas” slipup when he called Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) by the wrong name.

Nikki will downplay that and act like Adam was just trying to unnerve Victoria, but Victoria will think Nikki’s concerned too deep down.

After Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) interrupts to remind Victoria about a conference call, he’ll suggest having a relaxing dinner and not talking about anything work or Victor-related.

Monday’s Y&R episode will also bring some interesting moments between Claire and Nate after she literally bumps into him by the elevator.

Nate will pick up Claire’s dropped tablet as she apologizes for reading while walking.

Although Nate met Claire at Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) wedding reception, he had a lot of family stuff going on.

Nate will be glad to meet Claire more formally, so she’ll gush about scoring her dream job and seem intrigued by Nate as he walks away.

At the ranch’s home gym, Victor and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will take turns on the punching bag. Nick will mention the “Nicholas” blunder that he was told about, but Victor will claim Adam simply misheard him.

At the GCAC bar later, Victor will make another pitch for Nick to come back to Newman Enterprises and will mention how happy Victoria is at Newman Media.

Nick will correct Victor since Nikki is running Newman Media while Victoria is his second in command at the parent company.

Victor will act flustered for a moment before pretending his mistake never happened.

Once the conversation shifts to Adam, Nick will admit he’s done giving his brother chances.

After Nick complains about Adam destroying his relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Victor will act like it’s for the best.

When Victor mentions that Adam and Sally are expecting a baby together, he’ll suggest Nick can’t compete with that.

Nick will awkwardly remind Victor that Sally and Adam lost their baby months ago.

Victor will once again seem flustered, so he’ll claim he has to get back to the office and cut the conversation short.

Once Victor steps away, he’ll look back at Nick and seem like he’s trying to see if his plan’s working.

After Victoria shows up with Nate later, Nick will confess that his sister might be right about her concerns regarding Victor.

At Sally’s suite, Adam will beg for five minutes of her time and get her to reluctantly open the door.

Since Adam overheard Sally worrying about her business venture, he’ll wonder if she really thinks Nick would pull the plug over a kiss that was his fault.

Sally will snap that Nick might since he pulled the plug on their relationship.

Adam will apologize and offer to talk to Nick, but Sally won’t need a hero and will just want Adam to leave her alone.

After Sally goes on a tirade about the ups and downs of her relationship with Adam, she’ll talk about finding a good man in Nick and being happy – or almost happy.

Sally will wonder why Adam always has to come along and ruin things, but he’ll question why all of this still resonates so deeply with her.

Once Sally blurts out that it’s because she can’t let go of Adam either, she’ll push him to leave. Adam will act like that’s crazy considering she finally confessed the truth, but Sally will claim she’d never act on it.

Sally will think Adam should be satisfied now that she’s admitted she wants him, so she’ll keep yelling for him to leave until he finally does.

Adam will look pensive out in the hall while Sally cries alone back inside.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam and Sally could be on a messy journey back together, so stay tuned for updates on all the curveballs!
