The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, October 23, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will sit down with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) at Crimson Lights and ask for her professional opinion regarding Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) condition.
After Nick describes the confusion and memory issues that Victor’s seemingly been dealing with, he’ll wonder if it’s Alzheimer’s or if perhaps they’re just overreacting.
Sharon won’t have answers for Nick without speaking to Victor personally – and even then, Sharon will admit isn’t a specialist and couldn’t offer any kind of confirmation.
However, Sharon will agree to set up a time to casually bump into Victor and see what she can figure out through their chat.
Despite everything that’s on Nick’s plate, he’ll assure Sharon that he’s committed to joining forces in business with her.
At one point, Sharon will touch Nick’s hand tenderly and offer support since he’s dealing with a lot. Nick won’t want to discuss Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but Sharon will push him to deal with any unresolved issues.
Since Sally can’t get past her connection to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Nick will stand by his breakup decision.
Sharon will wonder what this means for the venture that Nick’s funding, so he’ll confess that he considered backing out.
Nevertheless, Nick won’t want to bail on Sally and will take Sharon’s advice to talk to her since she’s probably thinking he’s pulling the plug.
At Society, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will get updates on Sally ripping into Adam, so she’ll be pleased about that.
Sally will acknowledge that Chloe won’t be happy about this next part and will confess that she told Adam that she couldn’t let him go.
Chloe will complain since Adam’s going to cling to that confession, but she’ll think Sally should just pretend it never happened and focus on Nick.
Sally won’t see any signs of hope when it comes to a reunion, but then Nick will call and ask to meet. It’ll leave Sally thinking Nick might want to talk about their relationship.
At the GCAC, Adam will join Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) at the bar, where Victor will admit he suspects that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is conspiring with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to push him out of the CEO chair.
Victor will also indicate that Nick might be willing to come back to Newman, but he’ll gripe about Victoria convincing him that their father has lost his marbles.
Adam will contend that there’s indeed a good possibility Victoria and Nate are trying to undermine Victor.
When Victor makes it clear that he needs allies, Adam will promise to have his back and will clasp his dad’s hand as a sign of support.
After Victor leaves, Sally will run into Adam at the bar and push him to just forget about her previous confession.
Adam will protest, but Sally will stand her ground on leaving their romance in the past.
Once Adam takes off, Nick will approach Sally and warn that this isn’t a personal conversation.
Nick will argue that it’s strictly business, so Sally will look disappointed and assume he’s pulling the plug on her new design firm.
Nick will surprise Sally by admitting he’ll continue to fund it since he still believes in her talent. Although Sally will question how their relationship got so far off track, Nick won’t want to have that discussion.
That said, Nick will insist he wasn’t the problem. After Nick addresses Sally’s conflicted feelings and the whole Adam mess, he’ll push her to figure out what she wants or else she’ll never be happy.
At Newman Media, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will go above and beyond as usual in her role as Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) assistant.
Nikki will hope Claire’s feeling comfortable in Genoa City and finding friends, so Claire will confirm that she is.
That’ll be music to Nikki’s ears since she’ll hope to keep Claire happy and prevent her from wanting to leave.
Claire will assure Nikki that she’s got her dream job working for someone she admires, so she won’t plan on going anywhere.
After Claire offers to lock up, she’ll send Nikki off to relax. Once Claire is alone in Nikki’s office, she’ll gaze pensively at all the Newman family photos on her desk.
Later, Claire will return to her suite and look through a file full of Newman-related articles – both scandalous ones and celebratory ones.
At the jazz lounge, Victor will seem distracted as Nikki gushes over what a great assistant Claire is.
Once Victor mentions his conversation with Adam, he’ll note that he planted a seed about Nate conspiring with Victoria to undermine him.
Victor will suggest that Adam struggled to conceal his happiness about that move. Although Adam pledged his support, Victor will seem skeptical.
Nikki will remain convinced that Adam will be the one to betray Victor and will privately text Victoria to summon her for a meeting at the ranch.
In Victor’s office, Adam will pour himself a drink and sit at his dad’s desk. After Adam starts looking through drawers, he’ll find a small notepad that has an odd drawing of a serpent on it.
“What the hell is going on with you, Dad?” Adam will wonder aloud on Monday’s Y&R episode.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor’s scheme will come with more curveballs, so this could lead to disastrous news!
