The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, October 9, reveals that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will arrive at Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) suite with questions about his text. Audra will wonder why Tucker wants her to reignite the fire with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and will argue that Kyle was never part of the plan.
Tucker will disagree and act like Kyle is a useful tool that Audra can manipulate.
Although Tucker won’t go into all the details of his latest scheme, he’ll push Audra to keep her eye on the prize since she can run Jabot at the end of all this.
Audra will think this is starting to seem more like a desperate proposition than an actual plan B, but Tucker will talk her into going along with his plot.
After Tucker mentions the garden party that’s going on, Audra will seem skeptical about getting past security at Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) wedding.
Tucker won’t be deterred, so it won’t be long until they’re both dressed and ready for showtime.
At the Abbott estate, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will lead Diane and Jack through their heartfelt vow renewal before inviting them to seal it with a kiss.
Afterward, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will talk to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) and tease him about getting good at marrying people.
Kyle will admit that Summer looks great, so she’ll return the compliment.
Although Jack and Diane will seem hopeful about Kyle and Summer’s reconnection, Kyle will contend that they’re just co-parenting and suggest his parents shouldn’t read anything into it.
Over with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’ll give Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) names and descriptions of nearby party guests so she can get a better grasp on the people of Genoa City.
Summer will end up giving Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) another pep talk about his new job, so they’ll laugh and look rather cozy.
Claire will mistakenly assume Summer is Chance’s girlfriend, so Nikki will explain that Summer is her granddaughter and that she’s currently married to Kyle.
Although Nikki will admit that Summer and Kyle have filed for divorce, she’ll feel like they might still find their way back to each other.
When Nikki insists it can’t be the end, Claire will tease Mrs. Newman about being a romantic.
Over with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway), she’ll fish to find out how things are going between Chance and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). Sharon will seem a bit uncomfortable as she smiles and says they’re having a lot of fun.
Since Summer and Chance will be laughing loudly together, Sharon will notice and make things awkward when she comes over to join them.
As for Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd), she’ll let Jack know she’s happy for him since his love for Diane seems like the real deal.
Mamie will also talk to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) about her desire to bring the family together, but Devon and Nate will have another fight anyway.
Nate will think Mamie’s heart is in the right place, but he’ll assure Devon that he’s content at Newman Enterprises.
Devon will point out that forgiving and forgetting aren’t the same thing, so he’ll still be upset over Nate’s old betrayal.
Abby will choose to stay out of this as Nate tries to push for peace with Devon.
Even if Nate wanted a job at Chancellor-Winters, he’ll point out that Mamie isn’t a position to offer one.
There’ll be some toasts at the wedding celebration, including a surprisingly nice one from Nikki as she wishes Jack and Diane well.
When a security team member approaches Jack and whispers in his ear, Jack will excuse himself from the party.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will follow, so they’ll wind up in the living room with Tucker since security wouldn’t let him into the bash.
Tucker will insist he wanted to deliver a wedding gift to Diane and Jack, so he’ll act like the box on the table is a peace offering.
Jack and Billy will obviously be suspicious of Tucker’s contrite act, especially since he still won’t admit anything about framing Billy for embezzlement.
As Jack repeatedly orders Tucker to get out of his house, Devon and Abby will witness the escalating confrontation.
Mamie will end up peeking in on the drama nearby, so Devon will notice her exchanging a look with Tucker.
That’ll leave Devon deep in thought – like he’s realizing Tucker and Mamie might be linked.
Back with Audra, she’ll spot Kyle at the reception and flash back to being rather cruel to him when she cut off their romance. A surprised Nikki will encounter Audra, who’ll lie that Kyle invited her.
After Audra suggests Kyle’s having a hard time letting go, Nikki will think it seems like Audra’s having a hard time with that too since she came.
Audra will reply that she indeed likes being with Kyle – and if Nikki can’t accept that, Audra will warn that they have a problem.
Nearby on Monday’s Y&R episode, Claire will look intrigued as she watches Audra and Nikki’s faceoff.
