The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, April 13 – Diane Arrested as Phyllis Watches – Michael Says Find Another Lawyer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 13, teases that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will put Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) on the spot at Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) memorial service.

Since Summer will push Diane to speak and won’t take no for an answer, Diane will simply talk about Phyllis’ love for her children.

Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will take that as his cue to make a speech, so he’ll gather his strength and share some words from the heart.

Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will also play the piano and sing a song, so disguised Phyllis will be touched by all the kind gestures from her loved ones.

Next on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will request a search warrant ASAP, so officers will show up and bag some evidence from the Abbott house.

In the background of the memorial, Phyllis will think to herself about how Diane hasn’t won and will vow to expose her as a lying psychopath.

As long as Phyllis is alive, she’ll insist Diane’s marriage to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) isn’t happening.

Diane will be on edge as the service winds down since Chance will keep staring at her.

Summer’s pressure earlier will also leave Diane unsettled, but Jack will try to calm her down.

Unfortunately, the situation will go from bad to worse when Chance approaches Diane with backup.

Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will act like this isn’t the time or place for police business, but Chance will insist new evidence has surfaced.

After Chance talks about the lethal toxin in Phyllis’ blood sample, he’ll place Diane under arrest for the murder of Phyllis Summers.

Jack will blame Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) while Diane gets handcuffed and begs Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to represent her since she’s been framed.

Michael will pause deep in thought, so Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will hope he’s not seriously considering serving as Diane’s attorney.

In the end, Michael will urge Diane to get another lawyer instead and will warn her not to say another word until that lawyer arrives.

Jack will vow to find Diane the best possible attorney and get these charges laughed out of court.

Once Diane is led away, Summer will guess she got what she wanted now that the truth is coming out.

After Summer wishes she’d listened to Phyllis about Diane being dangerous, she’ll lean on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for support as they walk off.

Phyllis will take a deep breath as she lurks near her portrait after the service.

Since Danny, Daniel, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will take off a bit early, they’ll miss all the arrest drama.

At Society, Danny will tell Lucy about the time Lily and Daniel had to get jobs posing as fruit.

Lily will admit they once ran away together and will eventually take Daniel’s hand in a tender moment.

Lucy will be suffering from jet lag, so Danny will suggest she should get some rest.

Daniel will want to drive Lucy back to where she’s staying, but she’ll push him to stick around and have dessert with Lily.

Once Lucy leaves with Danny, Daniel and Lily will feel like they’ve been set up.

Later, Daniel will thank Lily for being for him, so she’ll suggest they’ll never stop helping each other and will kiss him on the cheek as she departs.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll have flowers and Champagne waiting as Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) brings her stuff to move in.

Devon will give Abby a set of keys before they make love to celebrate this big step together.

At Newman Enterprises, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will bring Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) a report she’s been working on along with the analysis for it.

Victoria will note that Audra’s ahead of the game, so that’ll lead to Audra suggesting she’ll be ready if Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) moves up the corporate ladder.

Once Victoria realizes Audra wants Nate’s job if he gets promoted or poached, Audra will act like she’s just talking about the future.

For now, Audra will be content to keep being the best COO she can be to Nate at Newman Media.

After Audra leaves, Nate will arrive and get the news about Audra being after his job.

However, Nate won’t be concerned since that just makes Audra more motivated and enthusiastic.

Once Nate confirms that he loves his job as Newman Media’s CEO, he’ll assure Victoria that he isn’t going anywhere by choice.

Victoria will get Nate to have some fancy bourbon with her before things take a passionate turn.

Although Nate was able to resist before, he’ll admit it’s futile this time.

Nate will kiss Victoria passionately before throwing her back on the desk for lovemaking.

When Audra comes back and approaches the door, she’ll raise an eyebrow over all the kissing and moaning she’s hearing on the other side.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria and Nate have even more complications ahead, so stay tuned for updates on their romantic issues.
