The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, April 20 – Nick Late for Sally’s Baby Appointment – Lily & Daniel Kiss

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 20, tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will wonder how Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) really feels about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) coming to her baby gender reveal appointment.

Nick will tell Sally that it’s fine and suggest he’s not pretending Adam isn’t the father.

Although Nick will accept that he’ll have to share this child, he’ll want to make sure they’re all on the same page about him not sharing Sally.

Once Sally assures Nick that she’s all his, he’ll mention wanting to see Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) before the appointment.

Nick will vow to meet up with Sally and Adam at Crimson Lights beforehand, but Sally will seem pensive as he leaves.

At the coffeehouse, Adam will talk to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about the looming gender reveal.

Although Adam will admit to still loving Sally and wanting to be a family with her, he’ll know it’s best to keep the focus on the child they’re bringing into the world.

Sharon will be impressed with Adam’s positive attitude and will wonder if he’s hoping for a boy or a girl, but Sally’s arrival will interrupt their conversation.

Sally will be surprised over Nick not being there yet, but she’ll get reassurance from Adam and chat with him while they wait.

Adam and Sally will jokingly throw out some baby names, but Adam will think they should pick out a proper name together eventually.

At Newman Enterprises, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will rant to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about Sally being pregnant with Adam’s child while she’s involved with Nick.

Nikki’s expression will alert Victor to the fact that she already heard the news, but she’ll point out that she didn’t want to betray Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) confidence.

Plus, Nikki knew Victor wouldn’t react well, but he’ll feel like he has good reasons to be outraged over this charade.

When Nick walks in, Victor will wonder if he’s gone mad for being with Sally when she’s having Adam’s baby.

It’ll leave Victor questioning if Nick’s trying to get back at Adam, but Nick will insist he’s not standing in the way of him being a father to this child.

Victor will disagree and act like Adam’s the one who should be able to decide if he wants to be a family with Sally and their kid.

Once Victor argues this is another way to thwart Adam, he’ll grow fed up with Nick and Victoria sabotaging his efforts to make their brother part of the Newman family.

Victor will call Nick out for his disrespect since it was like he was asserting dominance at the coffeehouse recently.

Nick will act like you can’t give Adam an inch, but Victor will continue to berate Nick for his poor judgment and disloyalty.

Once Nick finally decides he’s heard enough on Thursday’s Y&R episode, he’ll warn Victor to leave Sally alone before he takes off.

Afterward, Nikki will warn Victor to back off or else Nick, Adam and Sally could all band together against him.

Since Victor will want to be in his new grandchild’s life, Nikki will think he needs to proceed with caution or risk getting shut out.

Back at Crimson Lights, Sally will tell Adam they should head to the doctor’s appointment since it’s getting late.

The plan will be to text Nick and let him catch up with them there.

However, Nick will arrive moments later and apologize for cutting it close.

There’ll be some tension as Nick glares at Adam and suggests he can take it from here with Sally.

Adam will agree to meet Nick and Sally at the appointment, but he’ll seem taken aback by Nick’s attitude.

Sharon will look concerned over the strained vibe she just witnessed, too.

On the coffeehouse patio, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will have breakfast with Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), who’ll be nervous about leaving her dad so soon after Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) memorial.

Daniel will admit he’s having a hard time, but he’ll insist that Lucy should take her flight back to Portugal as planned.

Lucy will encourage Daniel to lean on Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and note that they were more than friends once upon a time.

After Daniel calls out Lucy’s matchmaking, he’ll suggest he doesn’t want to risk ruining that friendship.

Even so, Lucy won’t want Daniel to shut out the people who love him and will advise against missing what’s right in front of him with Lily.

At Chancellor-Winters, Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) will give Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) a warm welcome back.

Lily will also sit down with Devon as they establish some ground rules for working together again, so they’ll be in agreement about everything.

When Daniel’s name comes up, Devon will be glad Lily’s been supporting him – especially since his grief’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Next, Lily will pay Daniel a visit at his GCAC suite.

After Lily admits Lucy texted her, Daniel will think that’s embarrassing and suggest his daughter shouldn’t have to look out for him.

Lily will counter that it was an act of love and will let Daniel know he’s not alone before they share a kiss, which will quickly turn into a full-blown make-out session.

The Young and the Restless Daniel and Lily will keep growing closer in the coming episodes, so stay tuned for updates on their future together.
