The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 27, teases that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will hug Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and get confirmation that this is real, but she’ll struggle to understand how her mom’s standing in front of her.
Phyllis will admit to making a lot of mistakes and will stop Summer from calling Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) since he might be tempted to do the right thing.
Summer will be the only one Phyllis believes she can trust right now.
After Phyllis insists she can’t go home, Summer will argue that whatever Phyllis did doesn’t matter.
Although Phyllis will mention Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) threatening her, Summer will point out that he’s dead now.
Phyllis will admit she thought she had more time and will tell Summer the story of how she tried to back out of a scheme to fake her death.
Jeremy threatened Phyllis with scissors, so she’ll recap how she fought back, wrapped the body in the shower curtain and made it look like one of his criminal buddies killed him.
Phyllis will feel like she sealed her fate, so she won’t think she can return to her life in Genoa City ever again.
Summer will realize Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is innocent, but Phyllis will think that’s far from the case since all she’s done is drive wedges and cause problems.
Although Phyllis will apologize profusely for the pain she put Summer and Daniel through, she’ll point out that she changed her mind and came back.
Diane was the one who let Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) suffer as a child when she played dead for years.
Phyllis will warn that Summer can’t tell another soul about her survival or it’ll all be over for her.
Summer will worry that if Phyllis walks away from her now, she’ll never see her again.
Phyllis will promise she won’t let that happen and will point out that Summer has to choose between helping her mother or her mother-in-law.
If Diane is exonerated, then Phyllis will go down for everything – or else she’ll spend the rest of her life looking over her shoulder.
Summer won’t like the idea of lying to the people she loves, so Phyllis will hate that she’s putting her in this situation.
Nevertheless, Phyllis will insist she just needs some time to figure out another plan that works.
Once Phyllis assures Summer that she loves her no matter what she decides, she’ll give her another hug and take off.
Summer will seem overwhelmed by everything she’s learned as she stands there in the park alone.
At Society, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will get Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to hold down the fort for him at Newman Media while he’s on his LA business trip with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
At Crimson Lights, Nate will give Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) updates on that trip, but he’ll keep trying to distract her with the promise of a romantic vacation when he returns.
Elena will eventually question whether Nate’s going with someone to Los Angeles, but he’ll lie that he’s going alone.
Later, Elena will take a call from Audra and mention something about helping Nate pack for his trip.
After Elena admits things have been going well and plays up how sweet Nate’s been, she’ll suggest catching Audra up over coffee tomorrow.
Audra will insist she can’t wait as she flashes her usual mischievous smile.
At Newman Enterprises on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will complain to Victoria about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) trying to put him to work as Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) COO.
Victoria will grumble about Victor plotting to steal her team out from under her, but Nick will point out that he’s staying put along with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Once Victoria asks Nick to handle things while she’s in Los Angeles, he’ll quickly realize she’s going on a business trip with Nate.
Nick will feel like it’s a terrible idea, but Victoria will push him to butt out and will act like he’s a hypocrite.
After Nick suggests that what happened with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was different, he’ll note that Nate has a girlfriend and will try to get Victoria to see the unnecessary risk she’s taking.
Victoria will remain adamant about running her own personal life, but Nick will worry she’s going to blow up everything she’s worked so hard for.
On the coffeehouse patio, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will deliver off-the-record info to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) from a coroner contact.
Based on the early findings, Michael will admit Stark’s death appears to have been a homicide.
Jack will act like this helps Diane’s case, but Michael won’t be so sure about that.
This shocker will be a double-edged sword since Jeremy can’t point the finger at Diane, but he can’t exonerate her either.
When Jack shows up for another prison visit, Diane will snap that she warned Jack to stay away.
Jack will hint about his game-changer news, but Diane will continue to believe the people she loves are better off without her.
However, Jack will insist he needs Diane and will push him to marry him now. The sooner, the better!
Jack will want to wed before the trial and be Diane’s husband throughout this ordeal, but he’ll need her to trust him.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane and Jack seem poised to take a huge leap together, so stay tuned to Y&R.
