The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 6, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will meet with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to warn her that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is determined to take over Newman Media.
When Victor asks if Audra’s ready for battle, she’ll assure him that Newman Media is safe in her hands.
Victor will make it clear that he doesn’t want Adam to take over the company, so he’ll trust Audra to put up a fight.
In Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) suite, she’ll get a text from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about him being on his way.
Moments later, Adam will slide an envelope with his initials on it under the door.
Sally will seem frustrated over Adam reaching out and will shout for him to go away when she hears a knock.
However, it’ll turn out to be Nick, so Sally will let him in and show him the envelope Adam just delivered.
Sally will rant about Adam not respecting her wishes before trashing the card.
Once the conversation turns to Nick’s forced leave of absence, he’ll hint that he may not have a job to come back to if it’s up to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
Although Nick didn’t want this time off, he’ll insist he’s going to spend it taking care of people he cares about.
When Nick finds out Sally has been brushing off Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), he’ll encourage Sally to get back in touch.
While Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is having breakfast with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at the GCAC, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will approach their table with positive updates on the Omega Sphere numbers and reviews.
Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will also come along to offer Chelsea her old position as the creative director of Marchetti.
Daniel will complain about Summer trying to poach his star employee, but Summer will think it’s more like sharing the creative wealth.
Summer will explain that she’s taking over as Marchetti’s CEO now that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has left the role, so Billy will be surprised over that news.
When Daniel pulls Summer away to talk privately, she’ll admit she separated from Kyle.
Summer will stay positive about the future, but Daniel will know what it’s like when a separation becomes permanent and will seem wary of her being overly optimistic.
At Crimson Lights, Billy will get off the phone with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and fill Chelsea in on Summer’s separation from Kyle.
Chelsea will worry about the pressure of this new job and all the changes it would bring, but Billy will see the perks since she’d be under the same roof and they could spend more time together.
Although Billy will understand Chelsea’s concerns, he’ll urge her to at least consider the offer before saying no.
When Chloe pops up, Chelsea will tell her about Summer pushing her to take Marchetti’s creative director position.
Chloe won’t feel like she can give advice since she let Chelsea down in the past, but Chelsea won’t blame her since she shut everyone out.
Back at the GCAC, Audra will smile as she receives the gift box, flowers and card that Kyle sent.
Summer will spot Audra with all her deliveries and suggest someone must really be trying to impress her.
Audra will act like it’s just a congratulations on her first day as Newman Media’s acting CEO.
When Summer sees the gift box, she’ll point out that she goes to the same jeweler and will assume Audra got jewelry, too.
Audra will downplay it as a fountain pen or desk clock before Summer says she’ll see her around.
Once Audra realizes Summer is staying there, Summer will insist it’s temporary – just like Audra’s position.
“Welcome to the club, neighbor,” Audra will mutter right before Adam appears on Thursday’s Y&R episode.
After Audra admits she’s been warned about Adam, he’ll bet that she’s never listened to a warning in her life.
Adam will have some time to chat since he’ll plan to wait at the bar until noon, so he’ll quiz Audra about the flowers she received.
Audra will leave the sender a mystery and will make it clear that she intends to prove herself as Newman Media’s temporary CEO.
Next, Daniel will meet back up with Summer and reveal that he texted Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to tell her about the separation.
Summer will be upset over Daniel sharing a secret that wasn’t his to share, but Daniel will hope that maybe Phyllis will come back over this.
Daniel will add that Summer’s relationship shouldn’t become another casualty of Phyllis’ bad choices.
Back at Society, Victor will once again ask Nick to join forces with Adam at McCall Unlimited.
After Victor points out that Nick is on sabbatical from Newman Enterprises anyway, he’ll argue that Adam needs his brother more than Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Victor will be concerned about the risky trajectory that Adam is on, but he’ll think there’s a chance Adam will straighten out if Nick supports him.
In Sally’s suite again, she’ll let Chloe distract her with work briefly.
Sally will smile over a sketch, so Chloe will assure her she shouldn’t feel guilty and will add that her daughter would want her to keep smiling.
Sally will eventually decide she’s ready to join the next work meeting and will thank Chloe for being there for her.
After Chloe leaves, Sally will dig Adam’s envelope out of the trash and read the note he wrote instead.
It’ll be a heartfelt letter about Ava Spectra’s spirit, the loss that binds them for eternity and his desire to support Sally through this.
Adam will insist he’ll be downstairs until noon if Sally wants to talk and will beg her not to let this be a goodbye.
At the bar, Audra will assure Adam that she’s ready to take him down and will point out that he’s been stood up by whoever he’s waiting for since it’s past noon.
As Adam prepares to exit, he’ll tell Audra that she’s made a big mistake in underestimating him.
Adam will hope Audra is getting ready for the biggest battle of her life and will leave her with that warning.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam and Audra indeed have quite a feud brewing, so stay tuned to Y&R.
