The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 18, teases that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be sitting on the sofa when Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) walks in. Diane will end up taunting Ashley about her wedding and will sarcastically suggest Ash should be the maid of honor.
Tucker will drag Ashley out to prevent a physical fight and will think they should celebrate the fact that they can go somewhere else.
That’ll lead to Ashley and Tucker enjoying a night at the jazz lounge.
At Devon Hamilton-Winters’ (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll talk to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) about the courier who’s coming with a special delivery.
It’ll turn out to be the official paperwork that confirms he’s legally Devon Hamilton-Winters, so they’ll plan a jazz lounge celebration.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will watch Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) head off on their first date night since the baby was born.
Tessa and Mariah will be nervous about leaving Aria, but Devon and Abby will offer reassurance when they run into them at the athletic club.
Although Mariah and Tessa will feel like they’re making everything about Aria, they’ll ultimately decide their daughter deserves that.
In the jazz lounge, Devon and Abby will cross paths with Tucker and Ashley.
Once Devon shares news on his official name change and how important it is to him, Tucker and Ashley will join the celebration.
Back at the coffeehouse, Sharon will get a surprise delivery, so she’ll open the box and find a bottle of expensive Champagne.
The card will simply say, “Memories are what life is made of.”
Since there won’t be a name included, Sharon will wonder who she should thank for this generous gift. On the patio, someone mysterious will watch Sharon in a creepy moment.
At Society on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will meet with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell), who’ll admit Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) defense strategy has thrown her for a loop.
Since most of the evidence is circumstantial and there are so many discrepancies, Christine will feel like they’ll have to work extra hard to tighten up the case.
Chance will get updates over the phone and point out that a bogus tip put him on a pointless stakeout the night of Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) death.
The perps had already been picked up elsewhere, but a male caller at the GCAC made sure Chance was far away from the gala.
That’ll leave Chance thinking Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) might’ve been scheming with Diane – or maybe Jeremy and Phyllis really were working together on an extreme setup.
Christine just won’t buy the idea that Phyllis would abandon her children and will advise Chance to focus on the facts of the case.
After Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) bribes his way in Jeremy’s old motel hideout, he’ll search the place with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Jack will eventually find and bag some strands of red hair, so Kyle will use Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) hairbrush to get a DNA sample and compare it for a family match.
Back at the Abbott mansion, Diane will spot a program from Phyllis’ memorial service and rip it up.
After Diane opens the door and shouts that she knows Phyllis is out there, she’ll add that Phyllis will be found.
Once Jack puts a rush on the DNA results, he’ll return home to wait with Kyle.
Diane will find out what’s going on and will seem skeptical about a match being enough to get Christine to drop the case.
However, Jack will point out that Jeremy checked in that motel room after Phyllis supposedly died – and Kyle will agree there’s no plausible way Phyllis got in that room after she was deceased.
Once the lab calls and confirms the match, Jack will get in touch with Chance over the phone and point to his DNA evidence.
Since Jack is accomplishing this much on his own, he’ll urge Chance to see how much a first-rate detective could accomplish.
