The Young and the Restless Recap: Tuesday, April 11 – Chance Finds Poison Bottle – Summer Keeps Tox Results Secret

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 11, teases that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will get a call from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who’ll reveal Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) toxicology test results.

Chance will explain that fatal levels of alkaloids were found in Phyllis’ bloodstream – possibly from strychnine.

Christine will reel over the news that Phyllis was poisoned before Chance officially declares this a homicide investigation.

Next, Christine will talk to Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman), who’ll be upset over Phyllis losing the future she still had ahead of her.

That’ll lead to Christine opening up about losing her future with Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) since they weren’t able to make their marriage work in the end.

Once Summer finds Chance on the Crimson Lights patio, she’ll insist that they’re going to expose Phyllis’ murderer.

Summer will point the finger at Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and will push Chance to investigate by studying Diane’s behavior along with others at the memorial service.

Chance will warn Summer not to play Nancy Drew and will confess that Phyllis’ toxicology test results showed a lethal amount of poison in her blood.

After Summer blames Diane, she’ll learn the poison was the probable cause of death.

Chance will push Summer to keep these updates between them, so that’ll frustrate Summer.

Nevertheless, Summer will seem willing to keep quiet for now, but she’ll push Chance to do his part by coming to the memorial service like she requested.

Although Chance won’t make any promises, he’ll vow to see what he can do once Summer sends him the details later.

Next on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Chance will find Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in Phyllis’ old suite at the athletic club, so Jeremy will claim he’s collecting his late wife’s things.

After Jeremy accuses Diane of targeting Phyllis, Chance will mention that he confirmed Phyllis’ marriage to Stark.

Chance will also point out that Phyllis changed her will and had it notarized, so Jeremy stands to inherit a large portion of her estate.

Jeremy will assume Chance thinks he married Phyllis for the money, so Chance will admit that and speculate that Stark terminated his new bride before framing Diane.

However, Jeremy will deny harming Phyllis and will ultimately leave Chance to continue his search.

That’ll give Chance an opportunity to find a small bottle on the floor and bag it up as evidence.

Outside the door, Jeremy will pause for a moment while looking pensive.

Although Jeremy will take off for a moment, he’ll return to Phyllis’ suite soon after and pump Chance for more information.

Chance will keep Jeremy out of the loop, but Jeremy will argue that Chance should be searching Diane’s room instead.

After Stark declares that he wants someone to pay, he’ll invite Chance to search his own room as well.

Once Jeremy leaves, Chance will call someone to check on a commercial grade bottle of strychnine.

The detective will also provide the serial number and insist they need to find out where this bottle came from and who bought it.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll get a visit from Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and reveal that he won’t be buying McCall Unlimited since he worked things out with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Devon will note that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is willing to buy McCall if Tucker isn’t involved, but Tucker will want to keep the company in the family.

Despite Tucker’s protests, Devon will shut down the conversation and make it clear this deal isn’t happening.

As for any progress they might make in their personal relationship, Devon will push Tucker to keep showing him that he’s changed.

Tucker will get agitated as he shouts that he’s indeed changed, but Devon will take off for a meeting.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will talk to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about backing off the McCall deal and keeping Newman away from an Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) disaster.

At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be glad that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is letting Victoria make her own decisions, but he’ll still plan to give Adam his full attention and make him a priority over his siblings.

Afterward, Devon will meet with Victor and let him know that he passed on buying McCall Unlimited, so Victor is free to take his shot at it.

At the Abbott house, Nikki and Nick will show up to comfort Summer.

When Nick calls what happened to Phyllis a senseless accident, Summer will wish she could make him understand her perspective.

Once Summer says she just needs to nail down the location and get this memorial done, Nick will ask what’s so important about the location.

In Phyllis’ motel room, she’ll get a news alert on her phone about her celebration of life service.

Phyllis will see that it’s being held in the jazz lounge that was recently dedicated to Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and will wonder what Summer’s up to.
