The Young and the Restless Recap: Tuesday, April 4 – Phyllis’ Blood Test Results – Victoria Cancels McCall Offer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 4, teases that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will cry and keep repeating that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) can’t be dead, but Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will insist it’s true.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and even Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will comfort Summer, but Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will act like this fatal outcome is exactly what Diane wanted.

Jeremy will also rant at Chance and urge him to focus on what happened before the ambulance ride.

After Jeremy reminds Chance that Phyllis was threatened and assaulted before her collapse, he’ll demand answers.

Moments later, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will tell Chance that something isn’t right and will add that he can feel it in his gut.

Once Chance sits down with EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) again, he’ll ask about the blood that was drawn from Phyllis.

Carson will explain that it was stored in a metal container that should have survived the fire, so he’ll assume the fire crew took it to the hospital.

After Kyle takes Summer home, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will worry that she was responsible for what happened.

Nick won’t get why Sharon would say that, so she’ll explain that Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) said the collapse could be a side effect from Phyllis’ coma years ago.

Since Sharon caused that coma, she’ll battle guilt and fear it somehow led to Phyllis’ ordeal now. Nick will offer reassurance before seeming suspicious of Diane due to her revived Phyllis feud.

However, Nick will ultimately seem more suspicious of Jeremy. If it turns out that Phyllis’ death isn’t an accident, Nick will insist he’ll be looking right at Stark.

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will fret over Jeremy’s endgame to punish Diane and will insist on sticking around to hear every last detail.

At Society, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will wonder what she can offer Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) that he won’t turn down.

Tucker will question why Victoria is fighting so hard for a failing company that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) intends to put Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in charge of.

Although Victoria will explain her reasons, she’ll eventually act like Tucker’s right. Tucker will ask if this is reverse psychology, but Victoria will claim that she’s rescinding her offer and that Newman’s courtship of McCall is officially over.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will try to imagine making his place her home.

After Abby mentions their feelings always being more complicated than friendship, Devon will argue that how he feels isn’t complicated at all.

“I love you,” Devon will insist to Abby, who’ll be caught off guard by his sudden declaration.

Once Devon shares all the reasons why, he’ll once again urge Abby to move in with him. However, Abby will reflect on how they hurt Chance and will be concerned about the public perception of moving in so fast.

Plus, Abby will be hesitant to disrupt Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) life any more than she already has.

Devon will want to focus on the future instead of the past, but he’ll understand Abby’s reservations and won’t want to pressure her.

In the end, Abby will point out that she isn’t saying no yet; she’ll just want to do things the right way.

Abby will also let Devon know that she loves him too and that anywhere with him feels like home, so they’ll share a kiss.

At the Abbott house on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Summer will come home with Kyle and tell Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) that Phyllis is dead.

Ashley will offer some comforting words before Summer heads upstairs to check on Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).

In the meantime, Kyle will fret over Summer’s grief and worry that things will get a lot worse before they get better.

Back at the GCAC, Jeremy will interrupt as Jack, Nick and Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) reminisce about Phyllis.

After Jeremy rants about all the crocodile tears, he’ll demand justice and act like the GCPD isn’t capable of getting it.

No matter how the cops handle this, Jeremy will vow not to let Jack or Diane get away with what they’ve done.

Next, Chance will talk to an officer about getting a court order for the container of blood if it exists.

Detective Chancellor will want to keep this quiet and will suggest that sample may be their only shot at finding out why Phyllis collapsed.

Chance will also acknowledge that they may be investigating more than just an accident.

In the lounge, Daniel will talk to Sharon about how this doesn’t seem real.

None of the facts will add up, but Sharon will reflect on Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) death and suggest that sometimes bad things happen for no good reason.

Even so, Daniel will think it seemed like Phyllis had a premonition or something based on how she spoke to him earlier.

It’ll leave Daniel wondering why Phyllis didn’t do something to stop Jeremy.

Over with Jeremy again, he’ll get in Diane’s face and ask how she killed Phyllis.

Jeremy will accuse Diane of being the brains of the operation while Jack was her lapdog, but Diane will deny any responsibility.

Daniel will confront Jeremy and ask if he brainwashed Phyllis or blackmailed her into marriage, but Jeremy will think everyone pushed her right into his arms.

If Daniel is looking for someone to pin Phyllis’ death on, he’ll urge Daniel to look in the mirror.

Daniel will try to attack Jeremy before Danny pulls him back. As he continues to fume, Daniel will vow to make Jeremy pay if he did something to Phyllis.

Since Chance won’t have any more updates to report, he’ll send everyone home.

As Jack walks past Jeremy, he’ll warn that Daniel isn’t the only one Stark has to worry about.

When Chance reconvenes with the officer he spoke to earlier, he’ll suggest they’ll know more once they get the results back from the blood container.

Chance will add that if something was in Phyllis’ system that shouldn’t have been, it’s possible someone was trying to kill her.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance will keep digging, so stay tuned for news on the blood test results.
