The Young and the Restless Recap: Tuesday, July 11 – Summer Throws Tara in Kyle’s Face – Tucker’s Plan to Get Rid of Diane

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 11, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will call a family meeting with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), but Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) won’t be part of it.

When Kyle comes home and realizes there’s a meeting in progress without him, he’ll feel like he’s been thrown out of the family.

Traci will try to persuade Jack to include Kyle, but Jack will contend that his son made his choice when he walked away from Jabot.

Diane will also be upset over Kyle’s exclusion after he heads back out the door, but Jack will insist they need to focus on how to handle Ashley.

When Jack proposes removing Ashley from the Jabot board immediately, both Traci and Billy will object.

Although Billy and Traci will feel like things are going to blow over with Ashley in a couple months, Jack will stand his ground.

However, Diane will hint about being on Traci and Billy’s side here since Ashley and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) can only hurt them if they let them.

After Traci urges Jack not to make this worse, Y&R spoilers say she’ll push him to admit this feud has gone on long enough.

In the park, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will secretly meet with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who’ll feel partly to blame for Summer’s marriage blowing up.

Summer will insist Phyllis is indeed at fault, but she’ll shut down her mom’s idea about talking to Kyle and trying to help fix this.

Although Summer will seem doubtful about her marriage being repaired, Phyllis will feel like love always finds a way.

Phyllis will also hint about EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) perhaps knowing more than she thought, so she’ll hope Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) can track him down.

As for Summer, Phyllis will push her to just focus on trying to figure things out with Kyle.

Afterward, Phyllis will meet with Michael again and seek updates on whether he’s found Carson.

At Society, Tucker and Ashley will talk about their suspicions regarding Jack and Diane since they seemed to be plotting earlier. It’ll be Tucker’s turn to plot next when he pulls out a box with a bow on it.

Ashley will find a phone number inside that box, so Tucker will admit it’s the number for the guy who’s closing in on Carson – who could be the key to getting Phyllis off the hook with a self-defense story.

If they can clear up Phyllis’ legal issues, Tucker will point out that she’d be beholden to them. Ashley will have concerns about Phyllis creating more problems, especially if they wind her up and point her in Diane’s direction.

Tucker will suggest they could point Phyllis in Jack’s direction instead and get him to forgive her, which would certainly drive Diane off the rails.

Ashley will have some initial doubts, but she’ll eventually approve the idea of calling Carson and putting their mission to get rid of Diane in motion.

After Kyle flashes back to Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) job offer, he’ll find her at the GCAC bar and admit he’s interested.

Kyle will flirt with Audra as they go over the terms, but Summer will show up and interrupt them.

Audra will tell Kyle that they’ll be in touch about that matter they discussed later, so he’ll insist she can count on it.

Once Audra leaves, Summer will quiz Kyle about what he was talking to her about. Kyle will admit that Audra wants him to come work at Newman Media, so Summer will scoff about him wasting no time.

When Kyle points out that his own job at Marchetti was sacrificed for Summer, she’ll fire back about how she went to Marchetti because Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) – the woman he had an affair and a child with – threatened her.

Summer will remind Kyle that she left to protect Kyle’s relationship with Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) before he followed her because he knew they belonged together.

Kyle won’t want to rehash any of that, but Summer will note that Audra is Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) shady ex. After Summer acts like Audra can’t be trusted, Kyle will suggest he has a type after all!

Summer will feel like Kyle just wants to hurt her, but he’ll wish her the best with her choices and insist he’s doing fine making his own.

In Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) office, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will lash out over his support team being dissolved, but she’ll defend her decision.

When Victoria learns Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is pressuring Nick to team up with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at McCall Unlimited, she’ll push him to go be Adam’s voice of reason.

At Crimson Lights, Adam will seem harsh over the phone as he talks about firing people and snaps that he’s not running a nonprofit.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will eavesdrop as Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) advises Adam about taking the time to make the right decisions, but he won’t see very receptive to her guidance.

Once Adam leaves, Sharon will assure Sally that it’s safe to come out of hiding. That’ll lead to Sharon gently suggesting Sally and Adam should grieve together, but Sally won’t feel like she owes him anything.

Later, Nick will meet up with Sally in her suite, so she’ll assure him that she wants him to feel comfortable talking to her about Adam.

After Nick seeks advice on this whole McCall Unlimited situation, Sally will realize he really seems to care about his brother.

Back at the coffeehouse, Sharon will speak to Victor about pushing Nick to work with Adam at McCall Unlimited. Once Sharon asks if that’s about saving Adam or helping the brothers bond, Victor will wonder why it can’t be both.

Sharon will question if it’s fair to put Nick in this position, so Victor will ask if she’s got another solution.

Once Sharon hints that she might, she’ll meet with Adam alone and pitch the idea of merging Kirsten Incorporated with McCall Unlimited to form one powerhouse company.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon and Adam could be on the verge of achieving great things together, so stay tuned for news on their potential partnership.
