The Young and the Restless Recap: Tuesday, May 2 – J.T. Forces Elena’s New Plan – Sally Must Choose Baby or Business

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 2, teases that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will talk to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about the news that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is having a baby girl with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

After Nick updates Nikki on Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) attempt to poach him for McCall Unlimited, he’ll defend his relationship with Sally and make it clear that Adam will have to figure out how he fits in their lives.

When Adam shows up at Sally’s suite, she’ll wonder if he’s there to escort her to the meeting Victor just arranged.

Adam won’t have a clue what Sally’s talking about, so she’ll admit Victor summoned her via text and will insist on going alone.

Next on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Adam will stop by Newman Enterprises and let Nick know about this meeting at Society, but he’ll warn Nick not to go riding to the rescue.

Once Adam stops Nick from dashing off to intervene, he’ll urge him to let Sally handle it and support her in the aftermath.

Meanwhile, Sally will sit down with Victor, who’ll reflect on how his sons tend to fall in love with the same woman.

After Sally insists her relationship with Adam is ancient history, Victor will note that there are some things she needs to know before the baby is born.

Once Victor promises his granddaughter will have whatever she wants, he’ll add that nothing should interfere with Sally’s career.

Victor will have a proposal for Sally to consider, so he’ll offer to fully back any business endeavor as long as she does it away from Genoa City.

Sally will realize Victor expects her to go and leave her baby behind, so he’ll trust that she’ll make the right decision and will let her think about it.

After Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) gives J.T. Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) contact info to Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), Elena will get in touch via video chat.

J.T. will assume this request came from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and will feel obligated to hear Elena out.

Elena will make a pitch about having J.T. on the medical podcast to discuss his brain tumor and help others, so he’ll get on board – but only if they do it remotely.

After J.T. warns that he can’t come back to Genoa City and face everyone, that’ll throw off Elena’s plans. Elena will point out that she’d really love to have J.T. there in town, so she’ll give him some time to mull it over.

Once Elena fills Audra in on J.T.’s refusal to come back to GC, Audra will feel like Elena has to talk him into it.

However, Elena will have a change of heart about dragging J.T. into her relationship drama and will think this plan would take too long anyway.

Instead, Elena will opt to take the short and sweet approach by leaving for Los Angeles. After Elena says she’s going to find out once and for all what’s going on, she’ll march off on a mission.

In an LA suite, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will open up about his guilty conscience while in bed with Victoria.

Although Nate won’t want to be the kind of guy who lies to his girlfriend, he’ll feel like Victoria is irresistible.

Nate will admit that Victoria is the right woman at the wrong time, but she’ll think he has to decide whether he wants to be somebody else’s version of who he should be – or if he wants to be happy.

At the Abbott house, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will remember seeing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) back from the “dead” before pulling Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) into a tight hug.

After Kyle asks about Summer’s recent errand and effort to get closure, she’ll remind him that she pushed for space.

Kyle will promise to back off, but he’ll beg Summer not to stay in the guest room and will understand if she blames him for Phyllis’ death by association with his mom.

Summer will assure Kyle that it doesn’t work like that, but he’ll acknowledge that the situation with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is tricky.

Although Kyle will know Diane is innocent, he’ll also respect the fact that Summer doesn’t believe that and probably never will unless they’re lucky enough to get a miracle.

Summer will urge Kyle to just let Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) do his job, but Kyle will want to help find the proof to clear Diane’s name.

Once Summer decides she doesn’t want to talk about this anymore, Kyle will acknowledge that “this part” is going to take some work.

Summer will pipe up about forgiveness as well, but Kyle will think nothing else matters as long as they have each other and will embrace her again.

While Kyle’s in the kitchen, Summer will think back to Phyllis saying that she could either save her mother or her mother-in-law. It’ll leave Summer looking upset as she rushes out the door.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer and Kyle’s marriage could be headed for trouble, so stay tuned to Y&R.
