The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, April 26 – Diane Suspects Phyllis Planted Letter – Nate’s LA Trip with Victoria

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 26, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) body was found in a different jurisdiction. It turns out a fisherman spotted Stark after he washed up on the shore of a lake.

Although Chance will admit the timing is concerning, he’ll insist that doesn’t erase the evidence against Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Jack will disagree and think it puts a question mark on every aspect of this case.

Since Chance will need a distraction, he’ll approach Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and suggest this is the perfect time to go out to dinner like they planned.

The GCAC dining room will be closed, so Chance and Sharon will be forced to eat in the jazz lounge.

After Chance points out Sharon is supposed to be distracting him from the case, she’ll suggest maybe he’ll have an epiphany while he’s back at the crime scene.

Chance will flirt with Sharon and have some fun with her before getting called off to work – though he’ll assure Sharon that he’d like to do this again sometime.

At the Abbott house, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will talk to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about some vague errand she needs to run.

Kyle won’t be able to pry much of anything out of Summer before Jack comes home with updates on Stark’s death.

After Summer heads to the park, she’ll check her phone and fish for answers from Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), but it’ll become apparent that he’s not the mysterious person who summoned her.

Daniel will admit he’s worried about his sister and will push Summer to open up, but she’ll distract him with the news of Stark’s demise and send him off to the GCPD.

Once Daniel is gone, Summer will look around for the person who contacted her about meeting up.

When Summer turns and sees Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll gasp and nearly topple over at the sight of her.

With tears in her eyes, Phyllis will clutch her chest and look moved over seeing Summer again.

In the jail visiting area, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will present all the evidence against Diane, who’ll learn there was poison in Phyllis’ mask.

Diane’s credit card was also used to purchase the poison bottle found in Phyllis’ suite, where Diane was left alone after their fight.

Unconscious Phyllis had Diane’s engagement ring in her hand at one point, but Diane will explain that Jeremy pickpocketed it off Jack earlier in the evening – though she’ll have no proof.

Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Michael will play Phyllis’ seemingly terrified voicemail, but Diane will argue that Phyllis was accusatory and anything but terrified when they fought that night.

After Michael presents a letter in Phyllis’ handwriting that was found in Diane’s room, Diane will insist it was planted there.

Since Phyllis was at the Abbott house right before the gala, Diane will note that Phyllis could’ve planted the letter and gained access to her credit cards.

Michael will try to shut down the idea that Phyllis would be part of her own murder plot, but Diane will speculate that maybe attempted murder was the goal.

After Diane suggests the ambulance might’ve exploded before Phyllis could get the antidote, she’ll also consider the idea that Jeremy turned on Phyllis and gave her a lethal dose.

Diane will think maybe this was a revenge plot that went totally wrong and will push Michael to find Stark since he could be the key to getting answers.

Once Diane is led back to her cell, Kyle will call Michael to fill him in on Jeremy’s death.

At Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will bump into Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and suggest that he’s all set for success as Newman Media since he’s not a Newman or intimately intertwined with one.

After talk turns to Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby, Nate will mistakenly assume it belongs to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

That’ll give Adam a chance to gloat about that beautiful unborn bundle of joy belonging to him instead.

At Newman Enterprises, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will do some gloating as well since he’ll let Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) know that he officially owns McCall Unlimited.

Victor will think Adam’s going to provide some serious competition, but Victoria will act like her brother’s just going to fail.

Once Victor leaves, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will urge Victoria to take a little vacation, so Victoria will suggest maybe she could add a few days of R and R to her business trip in Los Angeles.

Soon after, Victoria will invite Nate on that trip since she’ll be headed to LA to scoop up some steaming services.

Nate will wonder if Victoria thinks that’s wise, but she’ll remind him that he said what happened was a mistake.

Victoria won’t feel like Nate’s the type to make the same mistake twice and will feel confident that he can have self-control, so Nate will get on board with the trip.

Afterward, Victor will congratulate Adam at Society since he heard about the baby girl reveal from Nick.

Once Victor admits he bought McCall Unlimited, he’ll insist this can be a legacy for Adam as well as his sons and daughter.

Adam won’t like the fact that Victor is using this baby as leverage now, but he’ll enter negotiations anyway.

Once Adam pushes for total autonomy, Victor will urge him to keep dreaming!

Adam will act like Victor has to make it happen or the deal’s off, but Victor will warn him not to make a stupid, rash decision.

Victor will want Adam to focus on the legacy he was talking about, so Adam will acknowledge the amazing opportunity and agree to let him know.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will hope to get Adam’s firm agreement soon, so stay tuned to Y&R.

CDL’s the place to be for terrific Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so stop by often.
