The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, July 12 – Adam’s Devious Blow Against Newman Media – Summer’s Good News

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 12, reveals that Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will finish packing up some belongings at the penthouse, but he’ll leave behind a couple framed family photos and some of Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) favorite jazz albums.

After Devon and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) talk about all the memories they made there, they’ll acknowledge that it’s Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) turn to make some memories of her own.

At the jazz lounge, Lily will express excitement over moving in her new place and will wish Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) didn’t have a meeting later.

Although it would’ve been nice for Daniel to be there when Lily got the keys, he’ll vow to visit her soon.

When Lily leans in for a kiss with Daniel, Y&R spoilers say Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will spy the close moment nearby.

As Summer talks to Daniel alone, she’ll reflect on this complicated situation with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and hope that she can fix things with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) after their mom comes home.

Summer will complain about Kyle’s new job with untrustworthy Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and whatever Kyle’s trying to prove, but she’ll feel like she has to let it all go right now.

Since Daniel seems to have a good thing going with Lily, Summer will want him to promise he won’t screw it up. Daniel will reflect on what happened with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and vow to never regret not doing enough again.

In the park, Chloe Lawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will support the idea of Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) accepting the creative director position at Marchetti.

When Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) arrives, he’ll agree it seems like a great opportunity for Chelsea.

Now that Chelsea’s work at Omega Sphere is winding down, she’ll admit it’d be nice to get back into fashion and embrace a new challenge.

However, Chelsea will want to discuss this with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) before she moves forward.

There’ll be some talk between Billy and Chelsea about Connor shutting down again due to the loss of Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby.

Chelsea will think that Connor had gotten used to the idea of having a little sister.

During a break from Connor’s soccer game, he’ll assure Chelsea that he doesn’t want to talk about the baby again. Chelsea will eventually admit this is about her potentially taking Marchetti’s creative director position.

Since Chelsea will have to work longer hours and will be busier, she’ll want to make sure Connor’s OK with her accepting this job.

Connor will sense that Chelsea’s excited, so he’ll tell her to go for it.

Although Connor will suggest celebrating with pizza later, he’ll still seem rather subdued like he’s burying some issues.

Nevertheless, Chelsea will think the conversation went well enough to give Summer some good news later.

Summer will get updates on Chelsea’s interest in accepting the offer, so she’ll be thrilled over something finally going right!

In Sally’s suite, she’ll surprise Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) by admitting she thinks he should help Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) run McCall Unlimited.

Although Sally still won’t be able to move past Adam choosing her life over their daughter’s, she’ll also see how much Adam’s been hurting due to his letter.

Sally will think Adam could use Nick’s support to keep him from sinking too low as he copes.

At Crimson Lights, Adam will try to dismiss Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) proposition for a merger between McCall Unlimited and Kirsten Incorporated.

Sharon won’t see why since this could be a very lucrative deal, but Adam will act like it just doesn’t fit in his vision.

When Sharon refuses to take no for an answer, Adam will admit he doesn’t want Sharon’s pity.

Sharon will assure Adam that she genuinely wants a partnership and will urge him to see the difference between someone caring and pitying him.

Adam will also fear that if he works with Sharon as a team, it’ll blow up their friendship – and he won’t be willing to risk one of the few friends he still has left.

Sharon will keep trying to sell Adam on what a great partnership this would be, so he’ll finally agree to consider it since it sounds profitable and he owes her. That’ll leave Sharon hopeful about this merger happening as Adam heads out.

When Nick shows up later, he’ll tell Sharon that he’s considering Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) request to join Adam and keep him from going down the rabbit hole.

Sharon will bring Nick up to speed on the merger pitch she made to Adam, so she’ll think it’d be a win-win-win if they all end up working together.

At Society, Abby and Devon will give Lily the keys to the penthouse, where they left a bottle of celebratory Champagne chilling for her.

Devon will tease Lily about how often Daniel’s going to be over there, but she’ll suggest she’s just going along for the romantic ride and seeing what happens.

On Lily’s way out, she’ll get a text from Daniel about his meeting getting canceled.

Daniel will have a romantic setup waiting for Lily at the penthouse, where they’ll drink, slow dance and head upstairs for lovemaking.

Back at Society, Adam will bump into Devon and Abby as they’re enjoying a bottle of bubbly, so they’ll explain that they’re moving to the Chancellor mansion.

Since Lily’s old place is now empty, Adam will seem interested in it since he’s looking for a new base of operations.

Adam will eventually discuss his plan to acquire Newman Media for McCall Unlimited.

After Adam hints about karmic justice, Devon will make it clear that he doesn’t play the same destructive family games and isn’t rooting for Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) takedown.

Once Adam is alone, he’ll make a phone call and confirm that the person on the other end got the changes he sent.

Adam will talk about Newman Media never knowing what hit them as he smirks deviously.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam’s apparently about to strike the first blow, so stay tuned!
